Wen Yan's phone happened to be right next to her.
After a notification 'ding' sounded, she immediately picked up her phone.
When I unlocked the screen, I was surprised to find a message from Xu Letian.
The message was very simple, consisting of only three words from beginning to end.
'sorry'
Before Wen Yan could even savor the meaning behind those three words, the message was withdrawn.
Wen Yan stared at her phone screen for a while, quite puzzled.
However, the words "typing" were not displayed on the screen, clearly indicating that the other party did not intend to send another message to explain.
Wen Yan didn't want to take the initiative to deal with Xu Letian, so she simply pretended not to see it and acted as if she had never received the message.

"Okay, I understand." Xu Letian said, trying to hold back his emotions. "Thank you for taking care of me, Brother Dai. I will always remember your kindness to me."
Dai Yang glanced at Xu Letian but didn't say anything more.
He took Xu Letian's phone, turned around, and left the rest area.

The next scene to be filmed was a kissing scene.
There are only three kissing scenes in the entire script, one of which involves a supporting character.
Another scene was a kissing scene between the female lead and another male supporting character, which was a smaller part of the scene and was scheduled later.
Before this crucial kissing scene, Wen Yan had already been filming with Xu Letian, and the two had several scenes together.
Despite what happened before, Xu Letian himself has never confronted Wen Yan face-to-face about the hype and marketing of their on-screen couple relationship.
Even that 'I'm sorry' message was deleted by him in a flash.
So when the two were filming together, they acted as if nothing had happened.
Both parties were fully engaged during the filming process.
Wen Yan didn't know what Xu Letian was thinking, but she was completely focused on her own thoughts.
She delivered an exceptional performance in the emotionally charged scenes before the kissing scene, bringing the atmosphere to its peak and making the staff on set tear up as well.
These scenes also diminished Wen Yan's emotions, so much so that for a long time after the director yelled "cut," Wen Yan was unable to get out of that mood.
Xu Letian looks the same way.
The director knew that this detachment wasn't so simple, so he gave them some time to adjust.
While the actors were making adjustments, the director and screenwriter were also busy.
They gathered together to discuss the upcoming main event.
After Wen Yan wiped away her tears and touched up her makeup, the director called both her and Xu Letian over.
"Here's the thing, I just discussed the next scene with the scriptwriting team, and we all agreed that some changes are needed."
Wen Yan nodded and asked, "What changes?"
"Because you all brought out the emotions so fully in your performance, we decided to change the staged kiss into a real kiss to make it more realistic. The male actor first lightly touches your forehead, and at that point he's still restrained and patient. But later, he can't overcome his inner demons and just breaks free and suddenly kisses you. Do you understand? It's a gradual process."
"Yes," the director said, and the screenwriter added, "because your performances just now were so excellent, you portrayed that restraint and helplessness to the fullest extent. So the director and I felt that the kissing scene needed a concentrated point of explosion to make it more impactful. But I don't know where your bottom line or limits are for intimate scenes?"
"Of course, this is just a suggestion from me and the director. For the sake of the whole series, I hope you can accept this adjustment. Besides, you are professional actors, so filming kissing scenes is normal. You may encounter even more intimate scenes in the future. But if you really can't accept it, we can use the original script to create a camera trick."
Making minor script revisions is a fairly common thing. Since joining the crew, Wen Yan has improvised several times on the spot.
For example, slightly changing one or two lines of dialogue, or adding a few actions, all in order to better present the dramatic effect.
Now that the director and screenwriter have made reasonable arguments, and it's really not something that crosses the line, Wen Yan, as an actress, feels there's no problem.
She nodded: "Okay, I also think this change is better than the original version; it definitely has more depth."
"Hmm!" The director nodded, then looked at Xu Letian, "And you, you should be fine too, right?"
If Wen Yan is fine, how could Xu Letian possibly be in trouble?
He nodded, "I'm fine with that too."
"Alright, you two are almost ready, right? Let's go through it once. Makeup artist, come here and fix this wound on the male actor's face. This wound is too obvious. It's been half a day in the scene, and the blood is still so red. Won't this be a continuity error? Costume, makeup, and props, you must be meticulous!"
