Wang Che hadn't reacted yet: "What are you laughing at?"
The viewers in the live chat were laughing uncontrollably.
"Hahaha, are you crazy? This is hilarious! They said 'work for half a year,' not 'half a year.' Oh my god, I'm going to die laughing in this live stream."
Wang Che belatedly realized what was happening and began to try to save face for himself.
"No, I thought the assistant director meant that the weather was hot in the first half of the year, so the smell was stronger. I didn't expect that there would be a cold winter in the second half of the year."
Assistant Director: "Stop explaining! You're making the viewers in the live stream laugh. Every funeral home has air conditioning."
Comment: 'I'm starting to suspect that Wang Che was invited by Wen Yan to liven things up.'
Wen Yan immediately raised one hand: "Absolutely not, I swear I didn't hire him to liven things up. Because I can't afford him, ten thousand a day is too expensive."
Wang Che: "What? You want me to be part of the atmosphere-building team? I think people should have some backbone. You can't throw away money for the sake of dignity. I don't want 10,000 a day, just give me 9.9 yuan an hour."
Wen Yan: "Then does that mean free shipping too?"
Comments: 'Haha, I can't take it anymore, they're so funny, I suddenly don't want to watch the clarification anymore.'
Wen Yan: "That won't do. We still need to clarify. I just saw a friend say that Wen Chengcai has started live streaming, right? Where is he streaming, and what's his account name? Could you please type it on the screen?"
"Ah, wait a minute, can you slow down? I think I saw someone type it, but it just flashed by in a flash."
Wen Yan's words were met with immediate and widespread approval, and soon, the same message began to flood the screen.
When she saw those words, Wen Yan smiled and curled her lips.
"Wen Yan's biological father, Wen Chengcai, haha, okay, I see, thank you."
As Wen Yan spoke, she turned to her assistant and said, "Xingxing, can you help me search for it?"
"Everyone is asking me why I searched for him. Well, I didn't expect him to be doing live streams. Since he's on this platform now, that's perfect. I'll connect with him directly in a bit to confront him. It's no fun clarifying things by myself. I haven't even started yet, and I've already seen people saying I'm putting on a show. So I'll connect with him in a bit. I can't put on a show with him, can I?"
"My sister's so confident, she's clearly got guts. It's hilarious! Someone just went over to warn them, and they were spouting tough stuff too, saying who's afraid of whom."
After scanning a few more bullet comments, Wen Yan realized that it was already eight o'clock.
She put her phone back on the tripod and sat down properly behind a table.
Wang Che and others, as well as the staff who were originally moving around on set, all tacitly moved away from Wen Yan's camera.
And the entire environment instantly became quiet.
Wen Yan was very grateful.
"First of all, I would like to thank the entire crew for their support, cooperation and help. Thank you very much! And thank you to Hongye Sports Apparel for their trust in me."
"As you all know, I've been filming with the crew deep in the mountains for the past few days. There, we have no internet or signal. We're living a life that's almost completely isolated from the world."
"Therefore, I am completely unaware of the rumors circulating online these past few days, and thus have no way to respond. I am grateful to my partners who have been calling me 24 hours a day, day and night."
"I only learned about this news at three o'clock this morning. I am also very grateful for the support and cooperation of the entire crew and the director. After hearing about the difficulties I was facing, the director immediately decided to take the entire crew out of the mountains and come to the city to film."
"That's why I'm able to go online and sit here to meet everyone. That's my explanation for why I didn't come forward to clarify things sooner."
"Next, I'll address the two trending topics online. First, I have never bought any articles to discredit any of my colleagues! I swear on my entire acting career that if I had ever done so, I would be completely blacklisted and no resources would ever come my way again. As for who bought these articles, I don't know. But those who do many evil deeds will surely perish! Let's see who comes out on top in the end."
"Secondly, regarding whether I am a 'rich, beautiful, and fair-skinned' woman. How should I put it? In a narrow sense, my skin tone is indeed quite fair. Although I am not a billionaire, to be honest, my current daily wage is much higher than the average person, so I can't be considered poor, right? As for beauty, that's a matter of opinion. If you don't like me, even if I look like an angel, you'll still think I'm ugly."
"But on another level... well, I still don't know how to put it. Because I'm actually an orphan, I grew up in an orphanage. I wasn't taken home by my adoptive father until I was a teenager. So, I wouldn't call myself a rich and beautiful girl, right? Because I was born into poverty."
However, my adoptive parents provided me with a comfortable life. But you don't need to ask who my adoptive parents are; I don't want to expose them or drag them into this messy 'lawsuit'.
"The third point, and the most important point today, is that recently a middle-aged man named Wen Chengcai has appeared online, claiming to be my biological father, and has exposed that I do not support him and that I am an unfilial and morally corrupt person."
"On this point, I need to confront him face to face."
After speaking, Wen Yan turned to look at He Xing: "Is he still live streaming now?"
He Xing nodded: "Yes."
