Dugu Xin and Shangguan Lingyun walked along the way and did not notice Princess Xinya's eyes.
"It's been a long time since we last met. Are you and her doing well?"
Dugu Xin spoke first, and a smile appeared on Shangguan Lingyun's face.
"Very good. I'm sure you've heard that she gave birth to a pair of children for me."
Dugu Xin looked at Shangguan Lingyun's boastful eyes and felt bitter in his heart.
"When I first met her, I was wondering who could make such a dazzling woman willing to bear children for him."
"I really didn't expect it to be you."
Hearing the bitterness in Dugu Xin's words, Shangguan Lingyun smiled even more deeply.
"You are not bad either. I heard that Emperor Dayu has great trust in you and has even chosen a Crown Princess and a Consort for you. I would like to congratulate you."
Dugu Xin smiled faintly, "You know my situation, so why bother saying these things to mock me?"
After Dugu Xin finished speaking, Shangguan Lingyun laughed and then patted him on the shoulder.
"Everything has its own gains and losses. Since you have already made your choice, why bother yourself with this?"
Dugu Xin smiled bitterly, "Let's not talk about this anymore. How have you been lately? I heard that you're going to choose a concubine?"
Shangguan Lingyun glanced at Dugu Xin with a half-smile.
"Why, are you looking forward to my selection of concubines?"
Dugu Xin was stunned for a moment, then he understood Shangguan Lingyun's meaning and smiled faintly.
"It's been a while since we last met. People change, but I can't quite see through you now."
Shangguan Lingyun didn't say anything, but Dugu Xin quickly understood what he meant.
Then he turned around and moved Princess Xinya behind him to his front.
"Xinya, this is the Crown Prince of Daxia that I have always spoken to you about."
"Xinya greets His Royal Highness the Crown Prince."
Shangguan Lingyun waved his hand, "Princess Xinya, you're welcome."
"I am a good friend of your Third Brother. I heard that the Princess came here to seek marriage. If you have a man you like, please let me know."
"Your brother and I will personally help you find a husband for you."
Princess Xinya glanced at Shangguan Lingyun shyly, while Dugu Xin narrowed his eyes slightly.
However, he did not say much, but continued to be polite with Shangguan Lingyun.
They soon arrived at the inn, where someone had already come out to greet them.
Shangguan Lingyun and Dugu Xin found a room to sit and talk, while the others went to settle down.
The two sat and drank tea for a while, and Dugu Xin spoke first.
"Your selection of concubines has caused such a stir, aren't you afraid that she'll be angry?"
Shangguan Lingyun smiled faintly, "She knows my intentions, but she just wants to solve those unnecessary troubles once and for all."
Dugu Xin shook his head, "I'm sure you noticed the way Xinya looked at you just now."
Shangguan Lingyun remained noncommittal. "So, next you should try to persuade your imperial sister."
Dugu Xin smiled bitterly, "My sister has always been a person of integrity. I'm afraid I can't persuade her with just a few words."
Shangguan Lingyun had a smile on his face and didn't take this matter to heart at all.
"Dayu and Daxia each need to develop. The children of the royal family know how to make choices."
"You and I don't need to worry about this little thing. Let's talk about how you've been lately."
Dugu Xin was tactful enough not to continue the previous topic, but simply told Shangguan Lingyun about what he had done in Dayu during this period.
"I just want to clear my mother's name. As for Dayu, I plan to give it to you in the future."
Shangguan Lingyun was not surprised, but he refused.
"Your temperament would make a good emperor."
"One Da Xia is enough of a headache, you should keep Dayu in your own care."
"As for future matters, let future generations arrange them."
After Shangguan Lingyun finished speaking, he and Dugu Xin looked at each other and smiled.
"That's true, what are your plans next?"
Shangguan Lingyun felt a little bitter when he heard this, but he didn't want Dugu Xin to know.
"I just want to live a happy and carefree life with Xiaoxiao, regardless of other things and worldly affairs. As for other things, I don't want to consider them for the time being."

Shangguan Lingyun smiled bitterly and didn't want to continue this topic, so he talked to Dugu Xin about the No. 1 Manor in the World again.
The two chatted for a long time until the evening, when Shangguan Lingyun got up and said goodbye.
Princess Xinya wanted to keep him at the inn for dinner, but Shangguan Lingyun flatly refused.
Shangguan Lingyun left in a hurry, and Princess Xinya was very puzzled.
Dugu Xin's eyes turned deep as he looked at Princess Xinya. After a long moment, he sighed.
"Xinya, don't have any ideas about him, and don't have any bad thoughts about the Crown Princess. Otherwise, even I can't protect you."
Dugu Xin's words were so serious that even Princess Xinya was frightened by him.
"Third brother, what do you mean by this?"
Dugu Xin didn't want to explain. He had finally returned to the capital and wanted to visit the No. 1 Manor and the No. 1 Restaurant in the World.
"Xinya, you are very smart. I believe you understand what I mean."
"I still have some things to deal with personally, so you should go back first."
Princess Xinya was somewhat helpless and had to turn around and leave, but the determination in her eyes became even stronger.
Early the next morning, Ye Xiaoxiao supported her sore waist and glared fiercely at Shangguan Lingyun who was gloating over her misfortune.
