Lin Qianqian gritted her teeth, then chuckled awkwardly:
"Yesterday... was pretty scary, huh?"
"That's right, sister. Girls need to learn to protect themselves. You never know when you might be assassinated."
Lin Yuxin looked at Lin Qianqian and said meaningfully.
Lin Qianqian's heart tightened upon hearing this, and she stammered:
"Sister...sister, you're right. Then...we won't go out, we'll stay in the manor, and I'll keep you company?"
Lin Yuxin looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

She planned to clear out a vacant lot behind her yard to plant some medicinal herbs, hoping to attract attention and make the things in her space more visible.
Lin Yuxin took the hoe handed to her by the maid and walked towards the backyard.
She had some flowers planted in her backyard, not many, but they looked nice.
She first cut all the flowers in the backyard, divided them into portions, then arranged them in a vase, and then said to Xiaodie:
“Take these flowers to the courtyards of Mother, Eldest Brother, Second Brother, and Third Brother.”
"yes!"
Xiaodie answered with the vase in hand, then left.
"What are you doing, little sister? Why did you cut all these flowers?"
Lin Qianqian followed behind Lin Yuxin, watching Lin Yuxin's series of actions with astonishment and asked in confusion.
"Oh, I'd like to clear this space out and plant something else."
After assigning the tasks for the flowers, Lin Yuxin casually replied to Lin Qianqian before turning back to loosen the soil.
“Sister, this isn’t right! This courtyard was carefully prepared for you by Mother. If you ruin it like this, Mother will be heartbroken! Besides, this is the Minister’s residence. It’s not appropriate for you to grow useless things here, is it?”
Lin Qianqian rolled her eyes and said disdainfully.
As expected of someone from the countryside, always doing these low-class things.
"You don't need to worry about that, sister. But didn't you say you were coming to keep me company today?"
Lin Yuxin was getting a little impatient with Lin Qianqian's words, but then her eyes lit up, and she started to set a trap for Lin Qianqian.
"Yes...yes!"
Lin Qianqian had a bad feeling, but she still forced herself to admit it.
"Oh, I knew you were the best, sister! You came to play with me today, but I still have so much work to do. Since you're here, why don't you help me with some of the work?"
After Lin Yuxin finished speaking, she took the hoe in her hand and shoved it directly into Lin Qianqian's hand. Then she held Lin Qianqian tightly with one hand, not giving her a chance to escape.
"Lin Yuxin, how dare you! I am a young lady from a wealthy family, how dare you make me do things that only servants do?"
Lin Qianqian wanted to take a step back, but Lin Yuxin held her hand tightly, leaving her nowhere to retreat. She immediately became angry and yelled at Lin Yuxin.
"Sister, haven't you come to terms with reality yet! The real young lady of the Lin family is me, right? You're just a fake young lady who was switched at birth. You don't even know who your biological parents are yet. You're just a guest in this mansion, an outsider."
"Besides, you said you'd stay with me today, so now I need you to help me with my work. If you agree, stay; if you don't, leave now."
Lin Yuxin rolled her eyes at her words. This woman hadn't realized her place, so she retorted without any politeness.
"What are you saying! I am the one who is...!!"
Lin Qianqian was furious when she heard what Lin Yuxin said and yelled at her.
She suddenly remembered what her mother had told her halfway through her outburst, and she forced herself to hold it in.
Her mother sent her a message last night, saying that she had received the items and asked her to find a way to get things done. She also said that it was not the right time to make this public, since she was her father's daughter.
She would have to wait until her father received all the dowry, divorced that old woman, and dealt with that slut. Only then would she be the only young lady of the Lin family.
"What are you?"
Lin Yuxin raised an eyebrow and looked at Lin Qianqian, her eyes flashing sharply as she stared at Lin Qianqian.
Lin Qianqian felt a chill run down her spine from being stared at, and realized that she had almost let something slip, so she quickly brushed it off.
"Little sister, I didn't say anything. Oh, right, I have something to do, so I'll be going now!"
Lin Qianqian turned and ran away after saying that.
Lin Yuxin watched her retreating figure, sneered, and ignored her, instead bending down to loosen the soil.
In the following days, Lin Qianqian would come and sit for a while every day. Lin Yuxin ignored her, but she didn't care. She was determined to come and make her presence known to Lin Yuxin.
Lin Yuxin didn't care at all, and sometimes she would even give her some alone time and opportunities.
Three days later, Lin Yuxin finally planted the medicinal herbs she wanted to grow.
She planted some of the medicinal herbs in her space in the backyard, except for some precious herbs that she was afraid she wouldn't be able to grow well, so she didn't transplant them.
Lin Yuxin had nothing to do today, so she planned to visit her mother.
Before Lin Qianqian came to bother her, she ate breakfast and went straight to Zhao Hanyue's courtyard.
"Mother!"
Lin Yuxin called out kindly before she even went inside.
"Hehe, what have you been doing these past few days? You haven't come to see me at all! I heard you dug up the backyard?"
Zhao Hanyue was very happy to see her daughter come over and asked her a few questions with concern.
“My daughter has been cutting the flowers in the backyard and planting some medicinal herbs these past few days.”
Lin Yuxin didn't hide it from Zhao Hanyya; sooner or later, people would find out that she knew some medical skills.
"Okay, you can make the decision yourself. By the way, has Lin Qianqian been coming to visit you these past few days? Has she been giving you any trouble?"
