The man in black then realized that he couldn't take this woman away today, and if he continued to entangle himself, he would also perish here.
So he decided to retreat first; saving his own life was the priority, and he still needed to go back and relay the woman's information to his master.
Then the man in black suddenly lunged at Lin Yuxin.

Then I found myself in a warm embrace.

Li Xiaochen's tense voice came from beside him. He had just been discussing important matters with Wang Yu on the roof of the next house when he sensed something was wrong. Then several men in black appeared and attacked them.
Yet each move was fatal, indicating that these people had been given a death order to take his life!
Li Xiaochen was worried about Lin Yuxin's safety, so he was a bit ruthless.
But just as he dealt with one group, another group appeared. Li Xiaochen then realized that the people chasing them were not the same group, and things seemed to be getting complicated.
Then he heard the sounds of fighting coming from Lin Yuxin's side. His heart tightened, and he became anxious because of Lin Yuxin's situation. He attacked with deadly force. After finally dealing with these people with Wang Yu, he strode towards Lin Yuxin's room.
As soon as the door was opened, the scene of the man in black rushing towards Lin Yuxin was seen.
His heart skipped a beat. He quickly flashed forward and swung his sword at the man. But the man seemed to have planned it all along. As soon as he swung his sword, the man in black turned around and escaped through the window.
Seeing Lin Yuxin squatting on the ground, he thought she was frightened and felt a pang of heartache, so he knelt down and carefully picked her up, comforting her:
"It's alright, it's alright, don't be afraid, I'm here!"
"I'm fine! He's the one who's in trouble!"
Lin Yuxin noticed Li Xiaochen's fear, reached out and patted his back to comfort him, but said with a puzzled expression.

After hearing Lin Yuxin's thoughts, Li Xiaochen felt relieved and knew that the girl was perfectly fine, and that his worries earlier were unnecessary.
However, he didn't let go of Lin Yuxin's hand. He had finally been able to hug her for a while, and he wouldn't let go of her if he didn't want to.
At this moment, Xueying walked in with Xiaodie.
"Princess!"
When they saw the two hugging, they both turned their backs, and Xiaodie's face turned bright red.

Lin Yuxin asked Xueying to sit down and checked his injuries. He only had a small cut on his arm, which was not deep and would only require two stitches.

Xueying said nonchalantly.

"Sit down and shut up. Am I the doctor or are you the doctor?"
Lin Yuxin glared at him. He was injured, yet he was still so rigid. Why didn't he just chop off his head and see what was inside?
Xueying was yelled at and immediately fell silent. She obediently sat down and waited for the princess to stitch her up.
Lin Yuxin asked Xiaodie to fetch a basin of hot water, then took out a needle from her bundle, sterilized it, and used a silver needle to give him local anesthesia before starting to suture him.
Lin Yuxin's hands were steady and quick; the two injections were done in no time.
"Alright, don't get it wet for the next couple of days, just wait for the wound to heal!"
Lin Yuxin gave instructions as she tidied up.
