Chapter 246 Selling Brother

"Yes, our family can save money."

Eunuch Liu bowed and respectfully saw Lin Yuxin off.

Looking at Lin Yuxin's retreating figure, he felt great admiration and respect. This Princess Pingning was no ordinary person.

The fact that this rebellion was resolved so smoothly is inextricably linked to Princess Pingning.

Even the Emperor and Empress were saved by her. Without hesitation, Eunuch Liu put the medicine in his mouth.

He had no doubt that Lin Yuxin's medicine was problematic. The princess could even cure the emperor; how could she possibly tamper with a servant like him?

After taking the medicine given by Lin Yuxin, Eunuch Liu felt warm all over his body in just a few breaths. He had been very weak because he hadn't eaten for a long time, but now not only was his stomach discomfort gone, he also felt much more energetic.

He looked in Lin Yuxin's direction and immediately became respectful, bowing to her back.

He remembered this kindness.

After leaving the palace, Lin Yuxin sent Butler Mu back to the Prince's Mansion and then went home herself.

Lin Yuxin didn't go anywhere else, but went straight to her mother Zhao Hanyue's Xuanlin Pavilion.

Inside Xuanlin Pavilion…

"What have Shaoyang and the others been doing these past few days? I haven't seen them at all!"

Zhao Hanyue was looking at an invitation, thinking that she hadn't seen her son for several days and something must have happened to him.

"Madam, the three young masters are probably busy with official business. They will come back to see you when they have some free time."

Seeing this, the mother's personal nanny quickly tried to comfort her, though her tone lacked confidence.

She had been warned by the second young master yesterday that things had been rather unsettled these past few days, and that he should not let the madam leave the manor, nor tell her, lest she worry.

Zhao Hanyue listened to her words, put away the invitation, and looked at the nanny with a sharp gaze. She said calmly:

"You've been with me for so many years, and you still can't lie properly. You'd better not say anything."

"Madam, this old servant did not mean to lie. It was the second young master who told me not to say anything, for fear that you would worry. They are just concerned about you!"

Seeing that the madam had already noticed, the nanny stopped hiding it. She had served the madam for so many years and knew what kind of person she was; the madam could sense even the slightest movement.

"It's been very noisy outside these past few days, something big must have happened. Tell me!"

Zhao Hanyue didn't pressure the nanny; she simply asked calmly.

"Something has happened in the palace...!"

The nanny then told Zhao Hanya what she knew.

Does Father know about this?

Zhao Hanyue frowned upon hearing this, but she wasn't particularly afraid. She simply asked about her father's situation.

"The old general must know!"

The old woman hesitated for a moment, then said cautiously, "How could a mere old woman like me know the details so clearly?"

"Alright, you can go now. I'll be alone for a while. If Shaoyang and the others come back, have them come over here."

Zhao Hanyue thought about it and felt a little uneasy. She was afraid that her father had chosen the wrong side. Although she knew that her father supported the emperor, who could say for sure about the power grab?

If something were to happen to the emperor, it would be a war among the princes, and his father would inevitably become the target of their struggle.

She only wanted her family to be safe and didn't want her father to get involved, but she also knew that this was just her own opinion.

"yes!"

Seeing that the lady was in a bad mood, the nanny didn't say anything more, bowed, and left.

As soon as the nanny went out, she saw Lin Yuxin striding towards her. The nanny's eyes lit up. The lady's little ray of sunshine had returned, and she no longer had to worry about the lady being in a bad mood.

As soon as Lin Yuxin entered, her mother's personal nanny bowed warmly to her and said:

"The princess is back? Madam is not in a good mood today. It's good that the princess is back to cheer Madam up."

"Why is Mother unhappy?"

Upon hearing that Zhao Hanyya was unhappy, Lin Yuxin immediately asked with concern.

The nanny told Lin Yuxin the truth.

Lin Yuxin listened, remained silent for a moment, and then strode into the house without saying anything more.

"Mother!"

Lin Yuxin's shouts could be heard from afar.

Zhao Hanyue was still lost in thought when she vaguely heard Yuxin's voice.

Zhao Hanyue blinked, and before she could react, she saw a petite figure walk in through the doorway, running up to her in a few steps.

He hugged her tightly, and said in a coquettish tone:

"Mother! Your daughter misses you so much! Do you miss me too?"

"Xin Xin?"

Zhao Hanyue looked at Lin Yuxin, who was hugging her, and touched Lin Yuxin's face with some disbelief, calling out to her cautiously.

"Oh! Mother, I'm back!"

Lin Yuxin felt a pang of sadness. Looking at her mother, she felt a little heartbroken. It was she who had made her mother worry and miss her.

Just as Lin Yuxin was feeling sad, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her ear and heard Zhao Hanyue's roar:

"Well! You brat, you came back without telling me, making me worry for ages! What's wrong? Are you asking for a beating? When did you get back? Why didn't you tell us you were coming back? Huh!"

"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Mother, I was wrong! Please let go, let go! My ear is going to fall off, it's going to fall off!"

Lin Yuxin shuddered in pain, and the emotion and sadness she felt just moments before vanished in an instant. To save her life, she quickly begged for mercy, still trying to sell her brother.

“Mother, I came back last night. My three older brothers all knew I was back. Didn’t they tell you? That’s really wrong of them!”

Zhao Hanyue wasn't actually pinching Lin Yuxin's ear very hard, but when she heard Lin Yuxin cry out in pain, she unconsciously loosened her grip.

Then, upon hearing that all three of her sons knew, while she was the only one who didn't, she immediately lowered her hand and angrily said:
