Chapter 33 Initial Treatment

"Don't worry, Second Uncle, I won't let anything happen to you."

Lin Yuxin said with a smile that as long as her second uncle agreed, that would be fine. If he didn't agree, she planned to come over that night and knock him unconscious before treating him.

Lin Yuxin took out a packet of silver needles from her sleeve and shook it in her hand.

"Second Uncle, shall we begin? If the pain becomes unbearable, just tell me so I can adjust accordingly."

Lin Yuxin reminded her.

"It's okay, I can handle it."

Zhao Yingfeng shook his head. He was already in such a state, how could he not bear this little bit of pain?

Lin Yuxin lifted the blanket and rolled up her second uncle's trouser legs.

What came into view were two withered and ugly legs, covered with scars, indicating the severity of the injuries sustained.

Lin Yuxin sighed inwardly, then cleared her mind of all distractions, focused her gaze, and became solemn and holy.

She picked up a silver needle and swiftly and accurately inserted it into the acupoints on her leg.

As Lin Yuxin was inserting the tenth silver needle, she heard footsteps outside.

My maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, second maternal aunt, and everyone else came.

However, Lin Yuxin couldn't afford to be distracted right now, so she ignored everyone.

However, although everyone from the General's Mansion rushed over anxiously, seeing that silver needles had been inserted into Zhao Yingfeng's leg, they dared not come forward to disturb him, no matter how worried they were.

This is what family is like. Although it was their first time meeting Lin Yuxin, they were able to give her enough trust.

On the way back, Zhao Shijie had already heard his grandson's story and learned that Lin Yuxin had a way to cure Yingfeng's leg, and also learned about the suffering his son had endured over the past ten years.

He was happy, but also heartbroken.

The good news is that for so many years no one has been able to cure my son's leg, but now there is a chance that it can be cured. The chance may be very small, but as long as there is hope, it is good.

At the same time, they were also worried that they didn't want to have hope only to be disappointed.

It breaks my heart that my son has been suffering for so many years without letting his family know, bearing it all alone. What a silly child!

Zhao Shijie's aged eyes were filled with tears. A decisive and ruthless general, he was now just a father who loved his son dearly.

Fang Lan was also in tears, heartbroken. If Zhao Shijie hadn't been supporting her the whole way, she would have collapsed. Now, leaning against Zhao Shijie, watching her son suffer, her heart felt like it was being stabbed with needles.

Chen Lanzhi, however, lacked her father's composure. Seeing the increasing number of needles on her husband's leg and hearing what her son said on the way, she felt heartache and self-blame.

She was his wife, and they had shared a bed for so many years. How could she not have noticed that something was wrong with her husband? How could she be so stupid?

Chen Lanzhi cried uncontrollably, but dared not cry loudly for fear of affecting Yuxin's treatment.

"Husband?"

In the end, Chen Lanzhi couldn't hold back and cautiously called out to Zhao Yingfeng.

"I'm fine, don't worry."

Despite the excruciating pain, Zhao Yingfeng gently comforted him, saying that it was indeed painful, but within his tolerance.

"Husband, why are you sweating so much? Does it hurt a lot? Yuxin, how are you? Why is your second uncle in so much pain?"

Seeing that he was sweating from the pain, Chen Lanzhi was not relieved; instead, she became even more worried. How could she not worry when her husband was in such pain in front of her?

"Second Aunt, if you believe me, I will give you back a healthy husband."

Lin Yuxin said something without even looking up, then continued what she was doing.

It was this sentence that calmed Chen Lanzhi down. Seeing this, Zhao Hanyue stepped forward, hugged Chen Lanzhi, and gently comforted her:

"Second sister-in-law, don't worry, Yuxin knows what she's doing."

So everyone waited in the room, but no one made a sound, afraid of disturbing Lin Yuxin's treatment.

Within half an hour, Zhao Yingfeng's legs were covered in silver needles.

Zhao Yingfeng was sweating profusely from the pain, but he gritted his teeth and persevered.

Lin Yuxin was so focused on the acupuncture that she broke out in a light sweat on her forehead.

After the last needle was inserted, Lin Yuxin stopped and paused for a moment before standing up.

"Yuxin, how is she?"

When Lin Yuxin stood up, her second aunt and Fang Lan hurriedly went up to ask her what was wrong.

“Grandmother, Second Aunt, the main reason I gave Second Uncle acupuncture today is to relieve his pain. Another purpose is to see what his legs have been like all these years, and also to lay the groundwork for future treatment. Don’t worry, he will be in some pain now, but in a quarter of an hour, after the needles are removed, he will be out of pain for the rest of the day.”

Lin Yuxin, her face pale, explained to Chen Lanzhi.

Seeing that her daughter was covered in sweat and looked a little weak, Zhao Hanyue quickly went over to support her.

"Yuxin, are you alright?!"

Zhao Hanyue asked with concern.

"It's nothing, I'm just a little tired. I'll be fine after a rest."

Lin Yuxin leaned against Zhao Hanyue's chest and comforted her.

Then, looking at the crowd around him, he said seriously and earnestly:

“Grandfather, grandmother, and second aunt, I mean what I say today. I have a way to cure my second uncle’s leg, but it can’t be restored to its previous state. However, he can live like a normal person.”

Zhao Shijie was the first to react. He suppressed his various thoughts and asked with concern:

"Yuxin, how confident are you?"

"Eighty to ninety percent."

Lin Yuxin answered seriously.

What's the current situation with Na Ying?

Zhao Shijie asked another question with concern.

"He's fine. The needle will be removed soon. However, I will prescribe a medicine for him to drink for five days before the surgery on his leg."

Lin Yuxin patiently explained the treatment plan.
