Prince Huru gestured to his two attendants to open the wooden box, inside which lay a telescope.
"This is?"
The emperor asked curiously.
"Your Majesty, this object is called a telescope; it can see things several meters away."
Prince Huru explained smugly, but inwardly he was disdainful.
Their country has plenty of these things; only those ignorant people like those from Xia Kingdom would treat them as treasures!
"Is that amazing? Let's come and see!"
The emperor's curiosity was piqued, and he gestured for it to be brought to him.
The chief eunuch by the emperor's side personally stepped forward to take it and handed it to the emperor.
The Emperor took it in his hand and examined it. Just as he was about to ask how to use it, he heard the voice sound again:
[What's so great about a telescope? Look how proud that prince from the sauna country is. A telescope is just two mirrors or pieces of glass placed inside a tube, and you can see far away using the principles of light!]
[Your Majesty, please don't show any weakness, or it will be our Xia Kingdom that will be laughed at. That worthless prince is just waiting to see you make a fool of yourself!]
Lin Yuxin watched the Emperor's actions with great worry!
The Emperor paused, when had he ever shown weakness? "Nonsense!" The Emperor calmly put down what he was holding and spoke indifferently:
"Hmm, very good, I like it. Thank you, Prince Huru! Please sit down, Your Highness."
Prince Huru was taken aback. Why wasn't he playing by the rules? He had prepared a whole bunch of things to say to mock their Xia Kingdom!
Prince Snoring felt a tightness in his chest, like punching cotton, and had no strength.
"Thank you, Your Majesty!"
Prince Huru thanked the emperor reluctantly, then found a seat and sat down.
"The Fifth Prince of Zhao, Qiu Jinhuai, has come to pay his respects!!"
The eunuch's voice rang out again from outside.
Next to enter was a man dressed in blue, with delicate features, a gentle and refined demeanor, and an otherworldly air.
"Qiu Jinhuai, the fifth prince of Zhao, pays his respects to the emperor of Xia!"
Qiu Jinhuai performed a ceremony in the style of their Zhao state.
"Fifth Prince, you need not stand on ceremony. You must be tired from your journey!"
The Emperor showed his concern politely.
Why does the Emperor seem so perfunctory? He says the same lines to every envoy.
The Emperor's lips twitched, and he felt a little guilty. "Don't let me know who's talking. I'll sew her mouth shut."
The Empress smiled slightly, thinking, "This person is really interesting."
"It's no trouble at all, Your Majesty. This is a state banquet gift from our Zhao Kingdom to the Xia Kingdom."
Qiu Jinhuai said modestly, and then instructed the servants to place the items in front so that the Emperor could see them.
The contents of the plate were covered by a cloth. The servant pulled the cloth away, revealing a large piece of blood coral, which was quite spectacular and beautiful.
"Very good, I like it very much! Fifth Prince, you are very thoughtful."
The emperor's earlier gloom has now been cured; he finally has a gift he likes. But before he could be happy for long, he heard that voice again.
[Is the Emperor so easily satisfied? Aren't you afraid of a trap? This blood coral is indeed large, but there's no such thing as a blood coral this big in the world. But no matter how Ren Qiujin thought about it, he never imagined that the blood coral he had given away had already been exposed.
Qiu Jinhuai sat next to the prince of Sauna Kingdom, and the two even exchanged polite greetings.
"The Third Prince of Qi, Qu Shubai, and Princess Chenfu have come to pay their respects!"
A hoarse, hoarse voice rang out!
Here it comes, the main event of the day!
The emperor looked bewildered. What was the highlight?
It can be said that, apart from the Emperor and Empress, everyone else who could hear their innermost thoughts knew what the main event was and was waiting for the outcome.
"The third prince of Qi, Qu Shubai, has come to pay his respects."
“Princess Chenfu of Qi, Jun Chenxi, has come to pay her respects.”
The two walked to the front of the hall and began to bow. Their Qi state's etiquette was actually quite similar to our Xia state's, so it didn't feel abrupt.

After Princess Chenfu finished her greetings, she stared straight at Li Xiaochen, her eyes practically glaring at him!
