The maid looked at Lin Yuxin warily, scrutinizing her from head to toe, as Lin Yuxin was not wearing the clothes of a servant in the city lord's mansion, making it quite obvious.
"Sister, I was summoned here today to serve General Qi. This city lord's mansion is so big that I've gotten lost! Could you please give me directions?"
Lin Yuxin spoke timidly and respectfully to the maid.
"Nonsense! I didn't hear Madam mention sending anyone to General Qi at all today. Who are you? Tell me the truth!"
The maid didn't believe Lin Yuxin's words at all and immediately realized that this person's identity was not right. She sternly scolded Lin Yuxin.
Lin Yuxin knew from her words that she had met someone important today. This maid was probably someone who served the madam and knew a lot.
