Li Xiaochen opened his eyes instantly and looked over:
"Awake? Are you hungry?"

Lin Yuxin shook her head and looked at Cheng Tinghao, who was sleeping soundly beside her. Since the carriage was not very spacious, Li Xiaochen had placed two wooden planks on both sides of the carriage and put blankets on them, so that two people could sleep there.

Li Xiaochen patiently explained, and his men also reported that not only were there ambushes in Mianzhou City, but there were also troops stationed there, just to deal with them.
They are short-handed right now, and he can't let the people Xin Xin has worked so hard to train take risks, so they have to go around that.
