As Li Xiaochen spoke, he got up and went out to have someone bring over some food.
Upon hearing how late it was, Lin Yuxin quickly buried her face in the blanket, feeling utterly ashamed to even go out. She had slept all afternoon, and now it was already evening—she was such a idiot!
When Li Xiaochen came in, he was carrying a plate of food.
"Get up and eat something!"
Li Xiaochen smiled and gestured for Lin Yuxin to get up.
Lin Yuxin didn't dawdle; she immediately threw off the covers and sat down at the table.
Li Xiaochen placed the dishes on the table one by one and sat down, while Lin Yuxin began to wolf down her food.
"Slow down! I'm not going to fight you for it!"
Seeing Lin Yuxin eating so quickly, Li Xiaochen asked with some concern, while also wondering why Xinxin seemed to get hungry so fast lately!
"Uh-huh!"
Lin Yuxin's mouth was full, and her hand reached for a plate of crispy chicken. She didn't have time to reply to him and could only nod hurriedly.
After Lin Yuxin finally finished eating and drinking, she sat there with a satisfied sigh.
"Being well-fed and watered is one of the greatest pleasures in life!"
"You're still sighing! Aren't you going to sleep a little longer?"
Looking at Lin Yuxin's languid appearance, which resembled a newborn kitten, lazy and adorable, Li Xiaochen asked softly.
"I can't sleep, I can't sleep!"
Lin Yuxin shook her head.
"Shall I go out for a walk with you?"
Li Xiaochen thought for a moment and then made a suggestion.
Lin Yuxin's eyes lit up when she heard this, and she nodded.
"Go! I'll go see what's different between the capital of Zhao and our Xia! Let's go!"
