So after she released them from hypnosis, she didn't run away, but just stood there waiting for them to wake up.
"Who are you?"
Nie Yuan shook his dazed head, saw a woman in front of him, and immediately questioned her warily.
Who is this woman? What is she doing here? They were just about to go out and complete their mission ahead of schedule. As long as they captured that woman named Lin Yuxin, they could leave the palace. They were so frustrated being stuck in this secret passage every day.
Suddenly, a thick cloud of smoke appeared, and they were almost knocked unconscious by the fumes. When they woke up, they saw a woman in front of them, which was incredibly frightening.
"Me! I'm the person you're looking for!"
Lin Yuxin raised the corners of her mouth slightly, looking at the group of grown men without being afraid at all.
"The person we're looking for? You're Lin Yuxin? Wait, how did you know we're looking for you?"
Nie Yuan narrowed his eyes, glanced at Lin Yuxin, and suddenly realized what was happening. He looked at Lin Yuxin warily and said...
"Hmm! That's right! The palace is about to change, and there's a fierce battle going on outside. I was afraid of dying, so I ran to the Cold Palace to hide. Somehow I ran into a trap and ended up here, and then I met you all?"
"I also heard you say you were going to arrest me, and then there was a cloud of smoke, and I passed out. Who... who are you? Why are you arresting me?"

This is different from what the second-in-command said! And the second-in-command didn't send any information! So, should they arrest him or not?
It's not entirely Qiu Qiyi's fault. Before he was arrested, he had already given a hint to someone he trusted to deliver a message. His original intention was that since he had failed, he should arrest Lin Yuxin to vent his anger.
But who knew that the messenger was arrested as soon as he stepped out of the Hall of Mental Cultivation? The person who arrested him was from Lin Yuxin's special forces. The person saw that the eunuch was acting suspiciously and arrested him on the spot.
This led Qiu Qiyi to believe that Lin Yuxin had been captured by his men and that they were going to make her pay with her life!
Meanwhile, the people in the secret passage hadn't received any news and were still waiting. They had gotten impatient and were discussing whether to go out and arrest the person first.
However, Lin Yuxin's entry could also be described as accidental!
"Really? Thank you so much! I'm so tired of staying in this palace. Let's go, let's hurry."
Lin Yuxin was overjoyed at the thought of leaving the palace; little did she know how suffocated she felt inside!
Before the grown men could even react, Lin Yuxin had tricked them into leaving the palace.
They exited the palace through a secret passage and arrived at a village one kilometer outside Bianjing.
There were people guarding the area. When they saw their own people leading Lin Yuxin out of the hole in the kitchen floor, they knew that they had brought her over.
"Ah Yuan, you're back! Why didn't you give me a heads-up?"
The leader was a very burly man with a scar on his face that almost went through his entire face, showing how deep the injury was.
He was holding a pot of wine and drinking with his three brothers when he suddenly saw them come out and asked in surprise.
"Hey! Old Hei, don't even mention it. The second-in-command didn't send a message, so how could we dare to make a move beforehand? But this woman delivered herself to our door."
Nie Yuan waved his hand, looking like he had something to say.
"That's true, but did she just walk right into our trap? Are you sure she's the one we're looking for? And why didn't you tie her up? Aren't you afraid she'll escape? If the second-in-command blames us, we'll be in deep trouble!"
Old Hei squinted, looking Lin Yuxin up and down. Seeing Lin Yuxin following Nie Yuan leisurely, a look of doubt flashed in his eyes.
This woman doesn't look like a hostage! She looks more like she's out having fun?
"She said her name is Lin Yuxin. She shouldn't run away, right? She's been obedient for a while now. We can tie her up if she tries to run away. She's a woman, can't seven or eight of us keep an eye on her?"
Nie Yuan glanced at Lin Yuxin a few times and said nonchalantly.
Seeing that he said that, Lao Hei thought about it and agreed. So he didn't pay much attention to Lin Yuxin. As long as she didn't leave the courtyard, he would have to send a message to the second-in-command to ask about her identity later.
Lin Yuxin looked at all these men, each one fierce-looking, and sat obediently to the side. Seeing that there was food on their table besides alcohol, she was hungry!
So she walked over without ceremony, plopped down in an empty seat, picked up a chicken leg and started gnawing on it, praising it as she ate:
"Hey! Brother, your braised chicken is delicious, mmm, so delicious! Come on, Brother Nie Yuan, you must be hungry too? Sit down and eat, don't be shy! There's still so much left here."
After offering a few compliments, she looked at the few people still standing and greeted them warmly, acting as if she were the hostess, which completely bewildered the men.
"Is this woman out of her mind?"
Old Hei, who was drinking, stared coldly at Lin Yuxin as she ate with relish. She didn't seem like an ordinary daughter of an official, and she was a woman brought out of the palace. Could she be the emperor's concubine?
But isn't she being a bit too overly familiar? Isn't she afraid of them? Besides, the scar on his face alone could scare away a lot of women!
"I had a feeling when I saw her! I guess that might be the reason why the second-in-command ordered us to kidnap her?"
Nie Yuan also spoke softly.
