"You were the one who rushed into my arms."
Li Xiaochen reluctantly withdrew his hand, helped Lin Yuxin stand up, and began to turn the tables on her.
Lin Yuxin: ...If you say a few more words, I'm going to believe you!
"Your Highness, aren't you afraid of biting your tongue when you say that? Your treasures in this palace are truly well hidden. When we came down, you didn't mention that there were no candles and it was pitch black. Are you suggesting that I find my way in the dark?"
"Besides, you didn't even call out when you came down. I thought you were a bad guy!"
Lin Yuxin rolled her eyes and complained.
I hadn't realized before that this prince was so shameless.
Li Xiaochen felt guilty, and since he had just held her for so long and was satisfied, he didn't continue the topic. Instead, he naturally took Lin Yuxin's hand, slowly walked to the wall, and knocked on the wall three times.
"Knock knock knock!"
"Whoosh!"
The surrounding light suddenly brightened, and Lin Yuxin's eyes were not used to it, so she abruptly closed them.
Upon seeing this, Li Xiaochen frowned, realizing it was his oversight, and then raised his other hand to cover Lin Yuxin's eyes.
Lin Yuxin was startled, feeling the intense heat emanating from the hand on her eye.
Lin Yuxin could hear her heart pounding faster and faster. After a long while, she finally stammered out:
"Your Highness? I'm ready!"
Li Xiaochen lowered his hand after hearing this. Lin Yuxin blinked and adjusted to the light before realizing that she and Li Xiaochen were very close. She could see Li Xiaochen's throat when she looked up.
Lin Yuxin swallowed hard, almost unconsciously, and looked at the sexy Adam's apple in front of her, wanting to take a bite.
Without hesitation, Lin Yuxin raised her head slightly and gently bit Li Xiaochen's Adam's apple.
Li Xiaochen shuddered, suddenly feeling a tingling sensation throughout his body, shooting straight to his abdomen.
He dared not move, looking down at the bold girl in his arms, and smiled bitterly to himself.
This girl really thinks he has great self-control! He wouldn't dare do anything to her?
Just as Li Xiaochen was about to lose control, Lin Yuxin finally let go of him, shrank back, and nodded with satisfaction as she looked at the red mark on his Adam's apple.
Hmm, I'll take two more bites next time! Hehe!
Lin Yuxin was about to step out of Li Xiaochen's embrace and stand up straight when she realized that Li Xiaochen was holding her very tightly and showed no sign of letting go.
"Your Highness? Would you like to release him first?"
Lin Yuxin spoke up to remind him.
"Lin Yuxin, what do you take me for? Someone you can hug and kiss whenever you want? You've seen me naked, and now you've kissed me. Are you still trying to deny it?"
Li Xiaochen held Lin Yuxin tightly, bringing his lips close to her ear and whispering a question.
His tone carried an unusual air of grievance. How could a prince, second only to the emperor, be so submissive in his pursuit of love? Who would believe it?
Lin Yuxin didn't answer, but she didn't break free from his embrace either.
Li Xiaochen received no answer, and his heart sank. Slowly, he let go of her hand, took a step back, and looked at Lin Yuxin.
Let's go!
Li Xiaochen glanced at Lin Yuxin, said something in a low voice, and then turned and walked inside.
Lin Yuxin looked at the man in front of her and found it somewhat amusing. "You think this man is so stupid?"
"Li Xiaochen, if you take another step, all your treasures will be mine!"
Lin Yuxin said softly.
Li Xiaochen paused, frowned, and turned around, looking at Lin Yuxin with confusion. Why was she bringing up treasure again? Although he didn't necessarily need those things, he had only wanted to annoy the girl and find her humiliated.
"Li Xiaochen, there are some things I'll only say once. I'm not a casual woman. I can't just hold hands or hug anyone. Besides, you were the one who asked me to take responsibility first, but then you backed down. Does that mean I don't have to take responsibility?"
Seeing the confusion on Li Xiaochen's face, Lin Yuxin said in an annoyed tone.
This man has no perseverance at all; he backs down every time he asks a question, so it's not even a proper confession! She'll have to do it!
"What did you say?"
Li Xiaochen's heart skipped a beat. He quickly walked up to Lin Yuxin and asked softly, fearing that he might be hallucinating.
"Li Xiaochen, do you like me?"
Lin Yuxin looked at Li Xiaochen and asked seriously.
"I love it! I really like it!"
Li Xiaochen nodded and answered eagerly.
"Coincidentally, I also have a bit of a crush on you. How about we give it a try?"
Lin Yuxin smiled as she spoke.
"If we don't try, we'll definitely be together! You can only be my queen."
Li Xiaochen raised his hand and suddenly hugged Lin Yuxin tightly, speaking seriously.
Lin Yuxin was held in his arms, feeling his excitement. She raised her hand and stroked his back gently to comfort him.
After realizing her feelings for him on the carriage, she decided that this man would be hers from then on.
However, she was unsure of Li Xiaochen's thoughts. Last time, Li Xiaochen hadn't made a clear confession in the mountain stronghold; he had only tentatively said some things that could be misunderstood.
She didn't understand her own heart at the time, so she backed down. But what had just happened made her feel that Li Xiaochen might really like her, so she became bolder, seduced by his good looks, and bit him.
The result was obvious, hehe, I'm such a clever guy.
The two hugged for a while, then Lin Yuxin patted his back and said:
"Alright, let's get down to business. I still need to give you those things."
Li Xiaochen didn't let go, resting his head on Lin Yuxin's neck, and whispered:
"Now that we're together, what's mine is yours, just keep it with you! No need to go through all that trouble and take it out."
