He quickly looked through it until he saw the last one, the hand-drawn gardenia pattern from ancient Earth.
His pupils constricted, and his head throbbed with pain as if it were about to split open. He clutched his head and lost control, falling off the command chair.
His adjutant rushed forward to support him, his voice trembling with panic: "General Mingyuan! What's wrong?!"
He didn't have time to pay attention to the battle situation. He helped Mingyuan down from the chair and sent him into the medical pod. Seeing the red light suddenly turn on in the medical pod, he became extremely anxious.
General Mingyuan's health had been poor, and now he had suddenly fainted. He didn't know if it was a sign of danger... He didn't connect the situation with the report, but just sighed that these space pirates were really lucky to have caught General Mingyuan falling ill at the right time. Now the battle would have to be delayed for a while longer.
Inside the medical pod, Mingyuan's body was surrounded by various monitoring instruments, with data constantly fluctuating on the screen, showing the extreme instability of his body at that moment.
His consciousness floated in the darkness, the image of the gardenia flashing repeatedly in his mind, intertwining with fragments of memory, triggering waves of intense pain.
He felt as if he had returned to that apocalyptic world, to the days when he fought alongside Luo Shui and Ye Nianzhen. Those laughter and tears, those moments of sharing life and death, were so clear, yet so distant.
His heart was racing, his breathing was rapid, and his body was trembling violently in the medical pod, as if he were fighting against some kind of force.
Suddenly, his eyes snapped open, a resolute light flashing in his pupils.
He sat up, ripped off the monitoring device from his body, and rushed out of the medical ward, ignoring his adjutant's attempts to stop him.
He had only one thought in his mind: to find Luo Shui and Ye Nianzhen, confirm their safety, and recover those forgotten memories.
He rushed out of the medical pod, his adjutant calling anxiously from behind, but he couldn't care less.
Mingyuan strode to the command console, picked up the communicator, and ordered his adjutant, "Cease the attack immediately. I need to speak with the pirate leader."
Although the adjutant was full of doubts, he quickly relayed the order.
Once the connection was established, Luo Shui's face, which was quite different from before, appeared on the screen. However, one could still see the original Luo Shui's features in this slightly more mature face, only her features were more defined and deep, and her bone structure was more robust.
Mingyuan was slightly taken aback. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Where's Xiaoye?"
The person who used the gardenia as a trigger to awaken his memories must be Ye Nianzhen. As for why he was with Luo Shui, who was a space pirate, considering that he had received a rescue mission to rescue the healers, Ye Nianzhen's identity is very likely that of the healer who was kidnapped.
That's why he asked this question.
Luo Shui frowned slightly, a hint of displeasure in his voice. "What's this? The renowned young major general of the Seventh Legion, weren't you going to shoot my ship through to rescue the healer? Now you're taking the initiative to contact me. Are you planning to surrender or submit?"
Mingyuan remained noncommittal and simply shut down the communication. Just as Luoshui and Ye Nianzhen on the other end were completely baffled, a space pirate rushed in to report: "Boss! That Mingyuan is coming here by himself in a small flying chess set! What should we do? Let him in?"
Luo Shui: "..."
Well, that's definitely Mingyuan's personality. Don't be fooled by his gentle and courteous appearance; he's actually a ruthless and decisive person behind the scenes.
So he could only tell his underling, "Oh, let him in, it's fine."
Seeing his boss looking calm and collected, the younger brother went to give him orders, completely bewildered. However, he thought everything should be fine now. He had been worried about being killed by the Allied forces if they couldn't win, but now that the enemy leader had walked right into their trap, he figured he didn't need to worry too much.
