Luo Xing has been having some strange dreams lately.
In his dreams, he would sometimes fight zombies and monsters to survive in a post-apocalyptic scene like a disaster movie, and other times he would transform into a beastman with ears on his head, whose prototype was actually a black bear! In another dream, he would be a space pirate in an interstellar setting, living a carefree and happy life!
He dreamt every day like watching a movie, and when he finally defeated the final boss, which meant the end of the story, he felt a little lost.
These dreams gave him a very real feeling, as if he had actually experienced them.
And while some might say that watching too many movies and reading too many novels might cause him to dream about fantasy and science fiction, he has actually been busy with his graduation project recently. He is an art student majoring in fine arts, and he is working hard every day to produce a work that will satisfy his professor.
He also has some hobbies outside of class, such as being a resident singer at a bar. His singing is loved by many people who come to the bar to relax, but he has been too busy lately and has not had time to sing, let alone watch movies or read novels.
Luo Xing began to wonder if these dreams had any special meaning, or if his subconscious was trying to tell him something.
He tried searching online for information about dream interpretation, hoping to find some clues.
However, most of the interpretations he found were ambiguous and could not accurately explain his strange and real dreams.
Luo Xing even considered consulting a psychologist, but ultimately put the idea aside due to being too busy.
He could only continue to immerse himself in these dreams every day, experiencing different lives and adventures. Although he was somewhat tired, he also found them quite exciting and interesting.
These dreams gradually became a part of his life, causing him to waver between reality and illusion, unsure when he would finally find the answer.
Having finally survived his graduation exams, he was in a relatively cheerful mood while waiting for news at home. His advisor told him that his work was excellent and that he didn't need to worry about graduating.
Ironically, those chaotic dreams brought him a lot of useful inspiration, which made his graduation project go very smoothly, and he was very satisfied with it!
Just when Luo Xing thought he could finally relax and enjoy a holiday without the pressure of homework and exams, an unexpected event befell him.
While he was out shopping, he was caught in a drive-by robbery!
These motorcycle robbers were rampant decades ago, riding motorcycles to snatch bags, cell phones, or other valuables from passersby, sometimes even dragging and injuring pedestrians. However, as public security has improved, they have gradually become less common.
Today, Luo Xing actually witnessed this scene with his own eyes.
He saw a thug on a motorcycle speeding towards an unsuspecting passerby, intending to snatch her backpack.
Without a second thought, Luo Xing rushed forward to try and stop the robbery.
He shouted "Catch the robber!" as he lunged at the assailant. Upon seeing this, the assailant immediately accelerated, trying to shake off Luo Xing.
But Luo Xing stayed close behind the thugs on their motorcycle, refusing to give up.
During the chase, Luo Xing felt as if he were in those dreams, his body became unusually agile, and his reactions were unusually quick.
He skillfully dodged pedestrians and vehicles on the road, closely following the criminal.
Unfortunately, the robbers knew the area better than he did, and had probably been planning this robbery for a long time. Luo Xing was about to be shaken off!
He was anxious, and for some reason, the ice-based ability he had used in his dream came to mind. Then, just like in the dream, he actually saw an ice flower bloom under the rear wheel of the motorcycle.
The ice flower was small, only slightly altering the motorcycle's direction, and it melted quickly, going unnoticed by anyone else.
But even this small effect caused the motorcycle to lose its balance when turning, tipping over to the side, and the assailant also fell to the ground.
Luo Xing seized the opportunity to chase after the assailant and subdue him. Seeing this, passersby rushed forward to help and called the police.
Police arrived at the scene quickly and took the perpetrator away.
The robbed passerby was moved to tears and thanked Luo Xing repeatedly. Although Luo Xing was a little tired, he was filled with satisfaction and pride.
After the riot subsided and the perpetrators were taken to the police station, he went to give his statement as required. After that, there was nothing more for him to do. He declined the money offered as thanks by the passerby he had helped and returned home.
After all that fuss, he decided not to buy anything and slowly walked back.
Walking home, Luo Xing's mind was still filled with the terrifying scene from earlier. He couldn't believe that the ice-based ability he used in his dream had actually appeared in reality!
Although it was only for a brief moment, the ice flower was indeed created by his will.
Luo Xing stopped, closed his eyes, and tried to recall the feeling of that moment.
He concentrated, imagining summoning the ice flower again, but nothing happened.
He opened his eyes, somewhat disappointed, but also feeling that it was all too amazing and worth studying.
He suddenly realized that perhaps these dreams were not meaningless; they might actually be trying to tell him something, or it might be the awakening of some latent ability.
Although he did not succeed in using that magical ability again, another event that soon occurred further confirmed his suspicion that dreams might be real.
That day, he and his classmates went out for a party to celebrate their successful graduation, and they went to a karaoke bar.
