The red team was still immersed in the resolute and determined look in Ye Nianzhen's eyes when she let go, and for a moment they ignored it.
His attitude provoked Mingyuan once again, and he angrily shook the red team's collar.
"Aren't you supposed to be so amazing? Why didn't you save her? Why!"
The red team, enraged by the scolding, glared at Mingyuan and demanded, "If you care about her so much, why didn't you come and save her yourself?"
"Oh... because you're too weak, right?"
Mingyuan's hands were charred black, but he showed no intention of letting go.
Instead, they relentlessly and fiercely punched the red team members in the face.
When Luo Shui sensed something was wrong and rushed over, this was the scene that greeted her.
He saw the bright red bloodstains left on the edge of the cliff, dragged down to the bottom, and in an instant he understood what was happening.
Even faster than the sadness came a tremendous sense of emptiness in my chest.
He first used water to extinguish the fire on Mingyuan's body, then pulled the two apart, stopping their pointless act of venting their anger.
When he reached the edge of the cliff and looked down, he only saw a deep canyon.
An inexplicable emotion welled up inside him, making him want to punch something to vent his frustration.
But he held back.
He is an ability user whose water-based abilities extend into ice-based abilities, and should be as calm as the surface of water, unmoved by unnecessary emotions.

Ye Nianzhen lost consciousness during the fall.
So she didn't know that the favorability bars of the last two people on the list were rising rapidly.
The final values were 85% and 67%, respectively.
Unbeknownst to her, a pair of strong, muscular arms skillfully absorbed the force of her fall, catching her steadily in their embrace.
*
Although a person with superpowers will not be infected with the zombie virus after being bitten by a zombie, it will still cause a certain rejection reaction.
Ye Nianzhen's abdominal wound was gruesome and terrifying, and the surrounding flesh was stained with a strange blackish-purple color by the corpse poison.
She was still in a deep coma, vaguely feeling something furry touching her waist and abdomen.
Instinct told her something was wrong, so she forced her way through the fog and used all her strength to hold the thing back with one hand.
Her blood-stained and abraded fingers sank into her silvery-white hair.
His hair hadn't been cut in a long time, obscuring his eyes, but through the strands, one could glimpse a pair of pure, amber-colored eyes.
She raised her head slightly, looking at Ye Nianzhen with a puzzled expression.
"You've been poisoned; you need to get it treated quickly."
The man's voice was deep and pleasant, yet it carried a hint of naiveté, which, like his eyes, seemed out of place with his appearance.
"...I remember, it was supposed to be like this..."
As he spoke, he lowered his head again, trying to suck out the venom from the wound.
Ye Nianzhen tried even harder to push his head back, even grabbing a tuft of hair.
"You've got it wrong."
She spoke slowly and deliberately, her voice hoarse and weak.
Seemingly sensing Ye Nianzhen's desperate resistance, the man finally gave in, straightened up, and quietly squatted down to the side.
Ye Nianzhen was able to take out the medicine from her backpack and decisively injected it into the wound. After one dose, the toxins visibly subsided.
The man's squatting posture resembled that of a large dog. He tilted his head and said, "Oh, I really did remember wrong."
"I'm sorry, I have a bad memory."
The excruciating pain and lingering toxins were eroding Ye Nianzhen's will. She could barely make out the man's face before falling into unconsciousness once again.
Fortunately, she guessed right again.
*
When the zombies brought her to the edge of the cliff, she had a vague sense of familiarity.
But things happened so fast that she didn't realize where the sense of familiarity came from until she was hanging on the cliff face with one hand.
This development is almost identical to the plot where the female lead encounters the silver-haired thug.
The key to triggering the plot is falling off a cliff!
Of course, there are many uncertainties involved, such as—
It might not be this cliff, the timing is wrong, and Ye Nianzhen isn't the female lead.
Logically, the time, place, and people are all incorrect.
But a voice inside her told her to take a gamble!
Let's take a gamble.
The female lead is a chosen one of heaven, a darling of fate. She has already lost four times. Without making some high-stakes gambles, how can she ensure that she can win this time?
Seize every opportunity that can become your strength without hesitation!
So she resolutely let go...
fine.
Just before falling into a coma, Ye Nianzhen gave a barely perceptible, gratified smile.
The man's animalistic eyes noticed the smile.
He was puzzled, but his body reacted quickly, and before Ye Nianzhen fell back to the ground, he used his palm to cushion the back of her head.
Gently lay her flat on the ground.
His skin is warm and elastic, and can be harder than steel when necessary.
Therefore, he did not need any extra protection; he only wore some large leaves around his hips and did not have the habit of making a bed.
But now...
He had a bad memory and had forgotten many things, but his remaining memories and instincts told him that this was a woman.
Women need to be treated gently and cared for attentively.
In particular, she was injured.
He walked out of the cave where he lived and wove some thick branches together to make a temporary door, hiding the entrance to the cave.
Because of his presence, there are no mutated creatures lingering in this area, making it relatively safe.
The injured need comfortable beds, nutritious food, and a safe environment.
He nodded to himself, confirming that there were no errors in the information, then got down on all fours and ran off like a wild beast.
