Chen Jiayi was not surprised at all after receiving the message from the Chi family.
Her eyes were somewhat cold. "This person was involved in the train robbery that happened to my grandparents. In the end, everyone protected him. He was only involved and did not commit any crime, so he was only sentenced to three years."
The way he looked at her made her uncomfortable, so Chen Jiayi had someone keep an eye on him and notify her as soon as he was released from prison. Chen Jiayi received the news as soon as he was released.
Upon learning that the other person was on the same train as Li Mo, Chen Jiayi already felt uneasy. Coincidentally, she learned that Chi Yan was also taking the same train back to Beijing, so she simply asked Chi Yan to help take care of Li Mo.
Chen Jiayi hadn't expected that the person would run away.
But she wasn't surprised. If he could get others to protect him while he was in a criminal gang, he must have some ability.
Based on Chi Yan's description, Chen Jiayi deduced that the other party's counter-surveillance capabilities were quite good.
To make a quick decision in such a short time and then jump out of the window to escape.

Chen Jiayi thought about it. Now that Li Mo had gone to Beijing, she didn't know how he was doing, so she could only ask Chi Yan, a local, to help take care of him.
Chen Jiayi sat in his chair, lost in thought, completely unaware that all the other students had left and he was the only one left in the classroom.

Shen Jialiang, dressed in a black Zhongshan suit, chuckled as he saw Chen Jiayi come to her senses.

Chen Jiayi then noticed that everyone in the classroom had left. She gathered the things on the table, stuffed them all into her bag, and then walked out.
"Nothing much, Professor Shen, is there something you need from me?"
Shen Jialiang stared into Chen Jiayi's eyes and noticed that her gaze now held a greater sense of composure than before.
He smiled and said, "It's nothing."
As he passed by, he saw that Chen Jiayi was alone in the classroom, seemingly lost in thought. As if possessed, Shen Jialiang went up and called out to Chen Jiayi.
"So, Professor Shen, have you had lunch yet?"
"Not yet, want to come together?"
Upon hearing the other party's reply, Chen Jiayi paused.
She was just asking politely.
"No, thank you."
Chen Jiayi felt that it was a bit too distant, and she thought about it.
I'm not hungry yet.
Shen Jialiang didn't think much of it and just said something to the other party.
"Okay, then I'll go to the cafeteria for lunch."
The two of them had the same atmosphere as a married couple.
Chen Jiayi suddenly felt terrified; where did this thought come from?
She nodded without changing her expression and watched Shen Jialiang leave.
After Shen Jialiang left, Chen Jiayi slowly went to eat outside the school.
Not knowing what to eat for lunch, Chen Jiayi thought for a moment and decided to just have a bowl of noodles.
There's a noodle shop near the entrance of Ocean University that sells really good noodles. Chen Jiayi fell in love with it after just one bite.
She went inside and ordered a bowl of noodles at the counter.
Then I randomly found a seat and sat down. The noodles were served in no time.
However, Chen Jiayi realized that there was something wrong with the noodles. She picked up the noodles and was about to go find the owner when she found that Shen Jialiang was also carrying a bowl of noodles.
Chen Jiayi exchanged an awkward glance with him, then gave him a smile.
"What a coincidence, didn't Professor Shen say he was going to eat in the cafeteria?"
Shen Jialiang raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you say you weren't hungry?"
Chen Jiayi: "..."
Shen Jialiang saw her pointing at the bowl of noodles, and then looked at the noodles in his own bowl.
Did you serve the wrong noodles too?
"right."
"What a coincidence, mine is the same. Yours looks like I ordered it..."
"Yours looks like the one I ordered."
The two were silent for a moment, then spoke in unison.
"I've never had this kind of noodle before..."
Realizing the problem, the two stopped talking at the same time.
Shen Jialiang chuckled, "It seems we really are a pair... teacher and student, so in sync."
Hearing the other person's tone change, Chen Jiayi couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
"Hmm, Professor Shen, I haven't touched this bowl of noodles yet. How about we switch?"
"Okay, I haven't touched mine either."
The two sat facing each other, eating together.
Some senior students who were out for dinner watched them and whispered among themselves.
"Isn't that Professor Shen? Who's that next to him?"
"She must be a new female student."
"This is the first time I've ever seen Professor Shen sitting down to eat with a woman."
"There are plenty of things you haven't seen. Did you see Professor Shen taking a dump?"
"How can you speak so rudely? We're eating."
"What's wrong? You don't want to hear it?"
After listening for a while and finding that no one said anything, Chen Jiayi breathed a sigh of relief.
She refused to eat in the cafeteria with Shen Jialiang because she was afraid of this.
People's words can be a fearsome thing. Even though Chen Jiayi and Shen Jialiang have nothing going on, people can speak for themselves, and words can easily become distorted as they are passed around.
Chen Jiayi knows this all too well. In her past life, she shed countless tears because of rumors and gossip.
She finished eating quickly, then got up to pay.
"Professor Shen, I'll pay for it for you. I'll be going now."
Shen Jialiang elegantly wiped his mouth. "I've already paid."
Chen Jiayi exclaimed "Ah!" and turned around to look at Shen Jialiang with some embarrassment.
"Professor Shen, I'll treat you next time."
Shen Jialiang nodded. "Okay."
After speaking, Shen Jialiang stood up and put on his gold-rimmed glasses.
