When playing mahjong here, you throw dice. In the first round, you throw the dealer's dice. For example, if any player throws a dice and the number is six, and there are three players in total, counting from 1 to 3, then the dealer is the third player.
The dealer draws the mahjong tiles first, taking two stacks (four tiles) at a time, and the other players follow suit, each taking two stacks.
While explaining the rules to Chen Jiayi, Shen Jialiang helped her draw cards.
Chen Jiayi quickly understood. When she saw that half of her hand was of the bamboo suit and the other half of the hand was of the circle suit, she turned around and winked at Shen Jialiang.
Shen Jialiang chuckled and reached out to help her arrange the cards.
"Three cards form a group, and four identical cards form a kong. Do you understand now?"
Chen Jiayi nodded. "Understood."
Chen Jiayi initially found the afternoon a bit boring, but after learning to play mahjong from Shen Jialiang, the time passed quickly!
