She took a deep breath and waited for her grandparents to open the door.
The person who opened the door was Lan Yuanbo, the maternal grandfather. Lan Yuanbo was somewhat surprised to see Chen Jiayi appear at the door on her own initiative.
Chen Jiayi picked up the gift in her hand and handed it to Lan Yuanbo.
"Grandpa, this is a gift I prepared for you."
She was a little uneasy, afraid that her grandfather wouldn't accept it.

"Come in, your grandma is in the bathroom."

She obediently went out and returned to her room. Chen Jiayi opened the gift box and found that it contained several diaries.
When Chen Jiayi opened it, she found it was a summary of the courses she had been studying recently, compiled by Lan Yuanbo.

"Professor Shen, someone is looking for you!"
As soon as Shen Jialiang stepped out of the research room, he heard a comrade calling him.
When he came out and saw that it was a woman, he couldn't help but frown.
"Hello, what can I do for you?"
Song Zhiya blinked and gave a sweet smile.
"Professor Shen, hello, my aunt asked me to bring you some chicken soup~"
Shen Jialiang frowned, glanced at the chicken soup Song Zhiya was carrying, and politely but distantly withdrew from the conversation.
"Thank you, you can have it."
Song Zhiya's smile froze. "This was specially made for you by your aunt! I can't accept this."
Shen Jialiang put his hands in his pockets and glanced sideways at Song Zhiya.
"You're so shameless to send me chicken soup? My mom can't cook at all. Don't come to my workplace unless it's important, it's interfering with my research."
Song Zhiya blushed slightly at his words, realizing that the man in front of her wasn't susceptible to this tactic, so she immediately changed her approach.
"Professor Shen, I'm very sorry to have troubled you. But this soup was indeed made by Aunt Chen. I've left it here; if you don't want it, give it to your colleague."
After she finished speaking, she placed the chicken soup in front of Shen Jialiang and turned to leave without hesitation.
Seeing that the other person had left, Shen Jialiang frowned.
He thought for a moment, then picked up the chicken soup.
Shen Jialiang walked into the research institute with a blank expression. Several young men were preparing to go out for dinner.
Shen Jialiang stopped them, "There's free chicken soup here, would you like some?"
Their eyes immediately lit up. "Drink! Drink!"
Chicken soup!
Shen Jialiang handed them the chicken soup, box and all.
He returned to his office and, somewhat angrily, made a phone call home.
"Chen Meiyuan, what have you done now?"
Chen Meiyuan quickly covered the landline phone and smiled apologetically at Du Guizhi.
"Hey Jialiang, did you receive the chicken soup? Is it good? If it is, Mom will make it for you again next time."
Upon hearing Chen Meiyuan's words, Shen Jialiang realized that someone was home. He suppressed his anger and hung up the phone immediately.
Upon hearing the dial tone, Chen Meiyuan quickly hung up the phone.
She turned around and gave Du Guizhi an embarrassed smile.
"The signal is bad at work..."
Du Guizhi tugged at the corners of her mouth and revealed a smile.
"It's nothing, Meiyuan. Have you heard about the bidding project that the Chen family won?"
Chen Meiyuan had, of course, heard about it, and immediately understood what Du Guizhi meant upon hearing her words.
She smiled and said, "I've heard about it. This project is said to be worth fifty million."
Du Guizhi sighed, "Meiyuan, your family is a scholarly family. If you want to go into business, the Chen family will have to obediently give you a share of the profits."
Chen Meiyuan smiled but did not reply.
Although we live in a new society now, Chen Meiyuan is still deeply committed to carrying on her family's scholarly tradition.
The Shen and Chen families would never be involved in business.
When Du Guizhi mentioned the Chen family, she thought of the melon she ate in front of the Chen family's house that day.
"Hey, I have something to tell you, but you absolutely mustn't tell anyone else."
Seeing Du Guizhi muttering to herself, Chen Meiyuan became very curious.
"What's up?"
Du Guizhi waved her hand, "Actually, it's nothing big. I just went to the Chen family that day and happened to run into the ex-husband of the Chen family's newly found daughter."
"My ex-husband came to visit?" Chen Meiyuan was very surprised.
