Chen Jiayi looked at the disconnected phone and raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Aunt Wang had just finished her work and turned around to look at Chen Jiayi.
"Miss, who is it?"
Chen Jiayi glanced at the caller ID.
"I don't know, the caller ID shows a landline number."
Wang Shuting didn't take it to heart. She wiped her hands and took off her apron.
"Miss, I've prepared the food. I'm going to the hospital to deliver it to Wang Yu and the others. I'll be back soon."
Chen Jiayi nodded. "Aunt Wang, be careful on the road."
Wang Shuting smiled and said, "Okay."
After Wang Shuting left, Chen Jiayi finished her meal and went out as well.
She was bored staying at home all the time, so she decided to go out for a walk today.
Chen Jiayi heard that there was a mountain to the south with pretty good scenery.
She plans to go hiking in that area.
Chen Jiayi asked A Long to drive her to the scenic area.
As a result, the car drove to the foot of the mountain but couldn't get up.

Upon seeing the disheveled Zhao Lianwei, Chen Jiayi did not recognize her at first glance.
After recognizing who the other person was, she stared at Zhao Lianwei with a puzzled look.
When the staff on the side saw Zhao Lianwei run out, their expressions immediately changed.
He immediately walked up to Chen Jiayi and shooed her and the others away in a very unfriendly tone.
"Go, go, go quickly, don't waste time here."
Zhao Lianwei gripped Chen Jiayi's pants tightly with both hands.
The worker roared, "Damn it! What nonsense are you spouting? Get back to work right now!"
He reached out, trying to grab Zhao Lianwei back.
Seeing that the staff were about to drag her away, Zhao Lianwei fearfully hid behind Chen Jiayi.
Her voice was shrill as she cried out, "Jiayi, I'm your mother! I'm Zhao Lianwei! Are you going to just stand by and watch your mother die? A mineral vein has been discovered here. They must be illegally mining it, otherwise why wouldn't they let us leave?"
Chen Jiayi was somewhat surprised, not expecting that the real reason for sealing off this place was the discovery of a mineral vein.
She frowned and glanced at Zhao Lianwei.
In fact, Zhao Lianwei's attitude towards her over the years has been lukewarm. She hasn't been kind to her, but she hasn't been mean to her either.
Seeing that Chen Jiayi remained silent, Zhao Lianwei feared that Chen Jiayi would refuse to save her.
She gritted her teeth, "Jiayi, your sister-in-law is inside too!"
Upon hearing this, Chen Jiayi's expression immediately changed.
She stared coldly at Zhao Lianwei, suppressing the anger in her heart.
"Ah Long".
Ah Long immediately understood what Chen Jiayi meant and stopped the staff member from doing so.
Chen Jiayi asked coldly, "Zhao Lianwei, what are you doing in here?"
A hint of guilt flashed in Zhao Lianwei's eyes as she sobbed and recounted Chen Xiaowei's actions.
“Your father is a heartless bastard! He cheated on me with women outside and brought the disease home and infected me. I asked him for money to treat the disease, but he wouldn't give it to me. Instead, he sent me to work in this place.”
Zhao Lianwei became more and more agitated as she spoke, "I never expected this place to be such a heartless construction site! There are landslides and deaths happening there every day, and they won't let me leave!"
Chen Jiayi frowned, feeling that something was off about what Zhao Lianwei had said.
Before she could think about it, the staff member went back and called out a lot of people, who then surrounded Chen Jiayi and her group.
One of the leaders stared at Chen Jiayi, sizing her up.
"I'm warning you, don't meddle in other people's business! This is the Lin family's territory."
Upon hearing this, Chen Jiayi couldn't help but laugh.
"Does the Lin family think they can force people to work on their territory? Isn't there a worker named Xu Cuihua among you?"
The staff impatiently raised their hands to shoo Chen Jiayi and her group away.
"What Xu Cuihua? I'd rather be Li Cuihua, our Cuihua! I'm warning you one last time, don't meddle in other people's business, or else..."
The man looked at Chen Jiayi with a threatening gaze, full of warning.
Chen Jiayi's eyes turned cold. "Ah Long, call Lin Chen'an."
If my sister-in-law really is working inside...
Chen Jiayi couldn't believe how much of a beast Chen Xiaowei was!
Sending your son's widow to work in a place like this? Are you crazy?
When the staff saw Chen Jiayi say she was going to call Lin Shao, they couldn't help but sneer.
"Who do you think you are? You think you can just call our Young Master Lin whenever you want? Don't think that just because you know our Young Master Lin's number you can put on airs here."
He raised his hand. "Brothers, arrest this man..."
Before the man could finish speaking, the person in charge who rushed over slapped him on the head.
He glared fiercely at his nephew, then immediately put on a fake smile.
"Excuse me, Ms. Chen, they don't recognize you. What brings you here?"
Chen Jiayi glanced at Zhao Lianwei, her brows furrowing slightly.
"Is there a woman here named Xu Cuihua?"
The person in charge paused for a few seconds, thought for a moment, and then gave an awkward smile.
"Excuse me, Miss Chen, we have too many workers here. There are also many named Cuihua. Why don't you go in and take a look?"
Chen Jiayi nodded. The staff member noticed that her uncle was hunching over a woman and realized that the woman's identity was not simple; she might actually know Young Master Lin.
His expression changed instantly, and he panicked for a moment.
