Shen Yuerong smiled and replied, "If mother is bullied, just tell us and we will seek justice for you."
"There's no need to make yourself sick because of these things. Remember to take good care of your body."
After hearing Shen Yuerong's words, Concubine Xi was so moved that her eyes turned red.
"My stinky boy finally did a good thing and married a good daughter-in-law like you."
Everything was harmonious in the palace, but in the general's mansion, Fu Hengyu was arguing with Du Wan.
Old Madam Fu in the room was dying, and the doctor was taking her pulse.
The doctor came out and sighed, "With so many people taking care of her, they still let the old lady starve. How did they manage to do that?"
After saying this, Fu Hengyu looked at Du Wan in front of him even more angrily.
"Didn't I ask you to take good care of your mother? That's what you did."
Du Wan retorted nonchalantly, "Haven't I taken care of her yet? I brought her food and drinks and took care of her myself."
"She herself didn't want to eat. Can you blame me? The food was on the table. Wouldn't she have asked the maid to come?"
"You yourself are unwilling to take care of your own son, yet you ask me, your concubine, to do so. Don't you think it's absurd?"
Fu Hengyu's face turned pale at her words, and he raised his hand to slap her.
Du Wan spoke with a sneer on her face.
"If you have the guts, just slap me. If you dare to hit me, I will go to the prince to complain."
She has now made no secret of the fact that she is the prince's staff
Fu Hengyu's palm stopped in mid-air, and he stared at Du Wan and said with gritted teeth.
"You are so cruel. Can you please stop taking care of my mother? I will take care of her myself."
Du Wan crossed her arms and looked at Fu Hengyu, "Then I want to see how long you can hold on."
She knew very well that Fu Hengyu seemed to be a gentle gentleman, but in fact he was the most selfish and liked to give up easily.
Now he swears that he will take care of Madam Fu, but in reality he probably won't be able to hold on for long before he gives up.
Du Wan turned and left the courtyard, while Fu Hengyu entered the room to check on his old mother. However, he smelled a foul odor and felt so disgusted that he almost vomited.
Old Madam Fu was lying on the bed and saw her son come in and speak.
"I don't want that little bitch to take care of me, son. Just let the maid do it. I won't let you do it yourself."
Fu Hengyu stood at the door and answered while covering his nose with his hand with no intention of getting closer.
"Don't worry, mother. I will never let you suffer any injustice."
But the person just didn't want to get close and looked disgusted.
Mrs. Fu felt sad when she saw this scene. She just waved her hand impatiently and said, "Go back and ask the maid to come."
After hearing this, Fu Hengyu didn't even want to pretend, he just walked away quickly, as if there was a ferocious beast chasing him.
After leaving the courtyard, Fu Hengyu received news from the government office and needed to go out to deal with it.
He stood in the darkness and sighed. He could only go to Du Wan's room and coax her softly.
"I have something to do these days, why don't you help look after my mother? Don't worry, I will buy you the coral headpiece you want most when you come back."
"From now on, I will listen to you about everything in the mansion."
Du Wan glanced at Fu Hengyu and spoke with a sneer.
"Since you said so, I will naturally agree."
She agreed on the surface, but secretly she had already thought about how to torture Madam Fu.
He even dared to complain to Fu Hengyu without even looking at his current situation.
The next day, after Fu Hengyu left, Du Wan pulled Mrs. Fu out of bed, causing her body to be painful from the wounds.
I tossed and turned all night yesterday and just fell asleep today when I was woken up by her. I started to question her unhappily.
"What are you doing here? Who asked you to come?"
Du Wan crossed her arms, her mouth full of sarcasm, "I didn't come here on my own, it was your son who begged me to come here."
Upon hearing this, Madam Fu was struck by lightning and spoke in disbelief.
"Impossible, ask Brother Yu to come and explain to me in person."
Du Wan replied nonchalantly: "He's been sent out to handle a case. I'm afraid he won't be back for a few days. Since you don't want me to stay here, then I'll leave."
There was a flash of coldness in her eyes, and she wanted to see Madam Fu begging for mercy from her.
Seeing this, Madam Fu was really afraid that no one would pay attention to her, so she begged for mercy: "Don't leave, I was wrong, please help me."
So Du Wan stayed to take care of her, but she did not allow Madam Fu to sleep. She would wake her up if she fell asleep, and she was only allowed to have light porridge and small dishes for meals.
After a few days, Madam Fu not only did not recover, but her condition became even worse. Just when she thought she was about to die, a white figure appeared in front of her, like a god.
"I'm here to save you."
When Madam Fu came to her senses, she saw clearly that the woman in front of her had already treated herself.
Only then did she realize that the scars that had been spreading on her body had stopped growing and were even forming scabs.
"Divine doctor, are you sent by God to save me?"
Chu Lianhua stood beside her bed, lowered her eyes, smiled gently and spoke.
"My name is Chu Lianhua, and God has guided me to come and save you."
Her miraculous words made Mrs. Fu's eyes sparkle. She got out of bed and kowtown at her feet.
"God, you are sent by the gods."
Chu Lianhua curled her lips, leaned over and helped Madam Fu up, "Why don't you try it and then you can go?"
Madam Fu was stunned for a moment, then took a step forward and found that she could actually move. She was filled with joy and looked at Chu Lianhua with even more admiration.
