"This is the person you were asked to take care of?"
Xia Wan thought he was talking to her, but she didn't understand what he meant and was about to ask.
Jiang Na suddenly knelt down and apologized to Cui Ziqi.
"I'm sorry, Brother Qi, it's my fault for not taking good care of your wife."
Why did you kneel down?
Xia Wan noticed that Jiang Na's hands were trembling; she was afraid.
"It was my own fault for not watching where I was going and I almost fell. Jiang Na even helped me up. Why are you blaming her?"
She spoke up for Jiang Na.
Cui Ziqi seemed not to hear her and called over the two people guarding the door.
"If you can't even watch people properly, then break their legs, gouge out their eyes, and throw them out."
His voice was cold and piercing, like a demon drilling into your nerves.
Without hesitation, the two men pulled out their pistols and fired two shots at Jiang Na's knees.
"ah!"
Jiang Na collapsed to the ground in pain, while Xia Wan screamed.
Blood meandered across the marble floor, and the stench of blood filled the air.
Seeing that the two men were about to take out tools to gouge out Jiang Na's eyes.
"No!" Xia Wan cried, her eyes red as she tried to rush over.
Before he could even get up, Cui Ziqi stopped him around the waist.
She was held in Cui Ziqi's arms, who gently comforted her, "Wanwan, don't be afraid. She didn't take good care of you and deserves to be punished."
He did it on purpose!
Xia Wan pushed him away and yelled at the two men.
"Stop it right now!"
Those two didn't listen to Xia Wan.
Xia Wan hurriedly got up to rush over, but a sharp pain shot through her ankle, and she stumbled forward.
Cui Ziqi tried to pull her back, but it was too late. He rushed over in a panic and became her human cushion.
Xia Wan crashed into his arms, her waist slamming hard against the edge of the coffee table.
He groaned and wrapped his arms tightly around Xia Wan's waist.
Just as I was about to ask her if she was alright, a fruit knife was pressed against my neck.
He looked up and saw Xia Wan staring at him with red eyes.
Her hand holding the dagger was still trembling slightly, but the words she uttered were ruthless.
"Don't touch Jiang Na!"
