Chapter 35 Cohabitation

The next day.

The cruise ship docked.

As Xia Wan and Cui Ziqi disembarked, a group of people carrying cameras rushed past them toward the cabin.

"What's wrong? Is there any big news?"

"Perhaps."

Cui Ziqi answered calmly.

Seeing his indifferent expression, Xia Wan didn't ask any more questions.

After getting on the bus, she asked the man sitting next to her with his eyes closed.

Have you moved all your things to my place yet?

We agreed to live together, so he can't run away.

Cui Ziqi lifted her long eyelashes, her reddened eyelids revealing a hint of helplessness in her eyes. "We just got off the ship."

Where would I find the time to move things?

"Don't you have a lot of men? Can't they help you move it?"

"I don't like other people touching my things."

"..."

Xia Wan suspected that he was deliberately delaying the time for them to live together.

Do you have a lot of stuff?

"……many."

How long will it take to move?

"……one day."

Xia Wan gave an "oh" and leaned back lazily in her seat.

Her silence made Cui Ziqi feel somewhat uncomfortable.

He glanced at her with a puzzled look, and seeing that she had no intention of continuing to speak, he felt slightly relieved and closed his eyes to continue resting.

He didn't sleep a wink last night and is feeling a bit sleepy now.

The car drove into Haiquan residential area.

As Xia Wan got out of the car, she said to Zuo Cheng, who was driving, "Wait for me."

After she got out of the car, Zuo Cheng looked at Cui Ziqi, who had already opened her eyes, and asked for his opinion.

With bloodshot eyes, Cui Ziqi could only see Xia Wan's retreating figure through the car window.

He rubbed his temples wearily. "Wait."

Ten minutes later, Xia Wan changed into a casual short-sleeved tank top and flared jeans, and came running back carrying a paper bag.

She climbed into the back seat and said to Zuo Cheng in the front, "Let's drive."

What are you doing?

Cui Ziqi frowned, on guard.

Xia Wan smiled and leaned closer, causing Cui Ziqi to subtly move aside.

"Aren't you moving things? I'll help you."

What's the point of accompanying her?

"If you don't like others touching your things, then I won't touch them. You can move them yourself. I'll just put on a show of humanitarianism and cheer you on from the sidelines! You can't refuse. You promised to live with me yesterday, and you can't miss a single day."

Cui Ziqi forced his slightly open mouth shut.

Xia Wan suddenly curled her lips into a smile and gave him a malicious look, like a female hooligan.

"But you'd better get used to it sooner rather than later. Once we're living together, I'll be touching you all the time, let alone your things."

Zuo Cheng in the front seat stared wide-eyed, wishing he could cover his ears.

What kind of indecent and rabid words are these?

He secretly observed the situation in the back seat through the rearview mirror and found that his eldest son had only leaned to the side slightly, and his face was still very dark.

But there was no sign of him going berserk.

Since Xia Wan appeared, the eldest brother's temper seems to have calmed down a lot.

Looking at Cui Ziqi's reddened earlobes and ignoring his sour face, Xia Wan leaned back in her chair with satisfaction.

Before Cui Ziqi could give any instructions, Zuo Cheng didn't dare to drive.

"Aren't you leaving?" Xia Wan asked.

Cui Ziqi felt a surge of anger welling up inside, but he couldn't vent it on her.

He shouldn't have agreed to live together!

He slammed his leg hard against the back of the driver's seat, his voice colder than his face: "Drive!"

Zuo Cheng hurriedly started the car and stepped on the gas.

One hour later.

Xia Wan was somewhat surprised when the car stopped at the Cui family manor.

"here it is?"

"The Cui family's old nest".

Old nest...

"Wait here."

Cui Ziqi opened the door and got out of the car, leaving behind only a cold remark.

Xia Wan looked at Zuo Cheng with a puzzled expression, "Does he usually stay at the Cui family's house?"

"I spend most of my time living at the Cui family's house, and sometimes I live in the Haiquan residential area."

Xia Wan was embarrassed.

It turned out she had taken over his place of residence.

"When he lived at the Cui family's house, were the Cui family members good to him?"

"...Sister-in-law, you'd better not ask."

While on the ship, Xia Wan was very protective of Cui Ziqi, but that doesn't mean her deception was justified.

Before finding out whether Xia Wan was indeed Cui Ziqi's savior, Zuo Cheng had to be cautious about her.

Xia Wan felt that Zuo Cheng meant that Cui Ziqi was having a very bad time in the Cui family, so bad that mentioning it would make people sad, which was why he was unwilling to say more.

The original book doesn't describe Cui Ziqi's life at home in much detail, but we can deduce his situation in the Cui family from the few words we can find.

Even the dogs in the Cui family are more precious than Cui Ziqi.

Xia Wan remained silent, watching Cui Ziqi's figure disappear through the gates of the Cui family manor.

Half an hour later, he reappeared at the door.

She was also carrying a large handbag.

Upon seeing this, Zuo Cheng immediately got out of the car, took the bag from Cui Ziqi, and put it in the trunk.

He then returned to his seat and drove away.

Xia Wan glanced at the man sitting beside her, whose aura had noticeably intensified, and frowned slightly.

"Is this all you have?"

Didn't you say there were many?

There were so many that it would take a whole day to move them all.

Cui Ziqi, without batting an eye, said, "It's been simplified."

He really did try to escape!

Luckily, she was careful enough to come along, otherwise this cohabitation mission would definitely have been cut short halfway through.

Upon returning to Haiquan Residential Area, Zuo Cheng left immediately.

Cui Ziqi opened the guest room door with practiced ease and tossed her belongings inside in a flurry.

"You really won't sleep in the same room as me?"
