And why look at him with such pleading and heartbroken eyes?
Cui Ziqi lowered his gaze, and goosebumps slowly appeared on his arms due to Xia Zhizhi's overly affectionate gaze.
He patiently endured it for two seconds, but finally couldn't hold back any longer.
The silver gun was cocked, and the muzzle was instantly pointed directly at Xia Zhizhi's head.
"Stop looking at me with that disgusting gaze!"
He spoke in a calm voice, his tone concealing anger.
Xia Zhizhi's face turned pale; she couldn't believe that Cui Ziqi would treat her like this.
Cui Ziqi is so smart; he must have suspected long ago that she was his savior.
Even if it's not confirmed yet, and her identity is unknown, her life will not be endangered.
But the murderous intent in his eyes was undisguised.
In an instant, she wanted to tell him everything, not wanting the man in front of her to continue being deceived by Xia Wan.
Zheng Minghuai pulled Xia Zhizhi into his arms and glared angrily at Cui Ziqi with a stern look in his eyes.
"The Xia family's residence is surrounded by surveillance cameras. Cui Ziqi, are you sure you want to use a gun here?"
'Bang!'
No sooner had Zheng Minghuai finished speaking than a bullet grazed past his ear, the violent impact of the bullet echoing in his ears.
There's a hole in the gate of the Xia family villa.
Bodyguards filed out, each brandishing their weapons, and stood guard in front of Zheng Minghuai and Xia Zhizhi.
The dark muzzle of the gun in front of them was still emitting white smoke, and Cui Ziqi's cold eyes gleamed with a sharp light behind the muzzle.
"You think I'm afraid of being monitored?"
Facing a dozen well-trained bodyguards, Cui Ziqi showed no fear whatsoever.
He slowly lowered his gun, looking indifferently at Zheng Minghuai, whose face had turned slightly pale.
"Let Xia Wan come out to see me, and I'll let you live a little longer."
His voice was devoid of any emotion; at first listen, it sounded as if Xia Wan was his greatest enemy.
Xia Wan stood to the side, watching more than a dozen dark gun barrels pointed at Cui Ziqi, and felt terrified for him.
Hearing Cui Ziqi's words, three more black lines appeared on her forehead.
The way this little weirdo worries about people is truly unique.
The system reminded her that she had one minute left in stealth mode.
In order to prevent these people from thinking she was a monster, she had to find a place to reveal herself before coming out.
Looking around, the only hiding place was behind the fountain next to us, which was also a blind spot for the surveillance cameras.
She glanced at Cui Ziqi again, then turned and ran behind the fountain.
When she came out again, the sunlight fell on her, casting a long shadow.
The situation at the Xia family's doorstep has now become so tight it's suffocating.
Zheng Minghuai had already released Xia Zhizhi and, ignoring the silver spear in Cui Ziqi's hand, walked up to Cui Ziqi.
A faint, mocking voice could be heard from Zheng Minghuai in the air.
"You, a madman whom everyone hates, actually think Xia Wan likes you? She just wants to use you to make me jealous."
"What a pity, I'll never look at a woman like her who's so cheap she grovels at men..."
Before he could finish speaking, Cui Ziqi kicked him.
Zheng Minghuai was prepared and dodged Cui Ziqi's attack with a quick movement. He then stretched out his fist and swung it at Cui Ziqi.
Cui Ziqi, her eyes bloodshot, went to meet him.
The two quickly became entangled in a fight.
Xia Zhizhi quickly pushed aside the bodyguard in front of her and looked at the two of them with concern.
She quickly grabbed a bodyguard's arm. "Quick! Go separate them! Don't let them fight."
Zheng Minghuai and Cui Ziqi were ruthless and swift in their attacks. The bodyguard watched helplessly as the two men relentlessly delivered punch after punch, unsure of how to intervene.
Urged on by Xia Zhizhi, he had no choice but to pull out his gun and painstakingly aim it at Cui Ziqi's back.
Xia Wan's brow twitched upon seeing this.
She picked up a stone and threw it at the bodyguard.
The bodyguard was hit on the head and got a big bump instantly.
Xia Zhizhi turned her head and saw Xia Wan, her eyes filled with unconcealed shock.
"Sister? You're not..."
Her exclamation startled the two men who were fighting.
Cui Ziqi's reaction was a bit more intense than Zheng Minghuai's. He was distracted and subconsciously looked over at Xia Zhizhi.
Zheng Minghuai seized the opportunity and punched Cui Ziqi hard in the face.
The force was so great that Cui Ziqi staggered and almost fell to the ground.
Zheng Minghuai then kicked Cui Ziqi in the lower back, knocking him to the ground.
"Cui Ziqi!"
Seeing that Zheng Minghuai was about to make a move, Xia Wan quickly ran to Cui Ziqi's side, throwing the remaining stones in her hand at Zheng Minghuai as she ran.
Zheng Minghuai couldn't dodge in time and got a bump on his head.
When he came to his senses, he was already looking at Xia Wan, who was helping Cui Ziqi up, with a dark expression.
"Xia Wan!" he shouted through gritted teeth, "How did you get out?"
Xia Wan's bedroom windows were all sealed up and the door was locked, so there was no way she could get out!
Xia Wan looked at Cui Ziqi's face with heartache as the bruises quickly appeared, her brows furrowed like twisted ropes.
Does it hurt?
With Xia Wan holding his hand, Cui Ziqi remained silent, his deep eyes gazing at her beautiful face.
At this moment, the frantic heart seemed to finally find peace.
Seeing that Xia Wan ignored him, Zheng Minghuai's face darkened even more.
Just as she was about to say something, Xia Zhizhi stepped forward with concern to check his body.
"Minghuai, are you hurt?"
With a sob in his voice, Zheng Minghuai's thoughts were diverted, and he looked away at Xia Zhizhi.
"Don't worry, I'm fine," he reassured her, despite the excruciating pain.
Seeing that Cui Ziqi didn't speak, Xia Wan felt that he must be enduring pain.
