Chapter 86 Must Be a Casanova

Zheng Minghuai was in a fit of anger when his phone started vibrating.

One of his friends pulled him into a group chat.

He was a playful person by nature, and his cronies often pulled him into various group chats for fun.

But now that he's engaged to Xia Zhizhi, he can no longer do those improper things.

He clicked in and was about to leave the group chat when he suddenly noticed Cui Ziqi's name in the chat.

His interest was piqued, and he scrolled up to look at the chat history.

The smile on his lips grew increasingly smug.

"The notorious Cui Shao, whom everyone in the elite circles fears, has a truly horrific history of scandals."

The secretary was puzzled.

Zheng Minghuai put down his phone and looked at his secretary.

"Make a reservation at the Linxing Hotel; I'm inviting Mr. Cui to dinner tonight."

...

Anshou Village.

Night came quickly and suddenly.

The nights in the mountains are not as bright as in the city. Once night falls, unless the moonlight shines down generously, the entire village, surrounded by mountains, is pitch black.

Cui Ziqi had a stern face ever since she returned in the afternoon.

Xia Wan didn't know what he was angry about.

After asking several times without receiving an answer, I stopped asking.

After dinner, Xia Wan thought she could go back to her room to rest.

Unexpectedly, Cui Ziqi took the flashlight handed to her by Zuo Cheng and pulled her out of the courtyard.

Where are we going?

As night fell, a cold wind blew, and Xia Wan wrapped her trench coat tighter around herself.

Cui Ziqi didn't answer, but led her around left and right until they stopped in front of an earthen house.

The wooden door had a vintage feel to it. Cui Ziqi pushed it gently, and the creaking sound was quite noticeable in the quiet night.

Xia Wan's heart tightened.

"You're not going to kill me to silence me, are you?"

Cui Ziqi paused, turned to look at Xia Wan, whose eyes were wide open, and smiled slightly.

"At least you have some self-awareness."

"Why? Just because I got angry this afternoon? But I didn't say anything."

Xia Wan felt helpless and somewhat confused.

Based on all the signs Cui Ziqi was exhibiting, Xia Wan was quite certain that this little pervert was in a bad mood.

However, the system says that his corruption value has decreased, and his favorability has inexplicably increased by 1!

This puzzled her greatly.

Does Cui Ziqi have a split personality?

When the afternoon's events were mentioned, Cui Ziqi's smile froze for a moment before turning downwards.

Xia Wan's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly pushed the person into the earthen house.

At the door, she glanced at the outside using the dim light of her flashlight. It was an ordinary, rural mud-brick house with tiled roof, but the inside was completely different from the outside.

The small earthen house had white walls, wood-look flooring, and was furnished with crystal chandeliers, a wall clock, and solid wood furniture.

It has a very modern feel.

Xia Wan almost felt like she had traveled through time.

There's no bathroom here, so I'll just have to make do with a quick wash for the night.

Xia Wan couldn't help but ask, "Are we... staying here tonight?"

"no."

Cui Ziqi closed the door, his dark eyes fixed on Xia Wan, his fierce aura impossible to conceal, even his words carrying a hint of murderous intent.

"I'm saying I'll make do for one night. As for you, just wait until I slit your throat and dismember you."

Xia Wan stared at him with wide eyes, horrified.

Cui Ziqi's smile held a hint of bloodlust: "Don't worry, I'm very skilled. The cuts will be clean and won't cause you much pain."

He pulled out a knife from somewhere; the blade gleamed sharply in the flashlight beam.

Xia Wan remained silent, staring blankly at Cui Ziqi.

After a moment of silence, Cui Ziqi still didn't see Xia Wan flee in fear.

He was getting a little bored and was about to throw away the knife so as not to scare her anymore.

Xia Wan suddenly lunged at him.

He instinctively threw the knife away, and the flashlight was knocked to the ground when Xia Wan lunged at him. The light shone haphazardly in the darkness for a few moments before going out.

The girl's ghostly voice echoed in the darkness.

"Fine, since I'm going to die anyway, I might as well be a dashing ghost!"

"Xia Wan! Let go of me!"

"No! If you let go, you'll kill me!"

"I was just kidding."

"But I don't like joking. Tonight you have to be mine!"

"You female hooligan!"

With a loud bang, the sound of the two slamming into the wooden door was amplified several times in the darkness.

To fit the character's persona, the girl even let out a cackling laugh.

The wooden door creaked until Cui Ziqi groaned, at which point Xia Wan stopped her 'revenge'.

The phone's flashlight turned on again.

Xia Wan shone the light on Cui Ziqi's face.

Suddenly blinded by the light, Cui Ziqi turned her head to the side, exposing her rosy earlobes to Xia Wan's eyes.

Oh! You're blushing!

Xia Wan's face clearly showed an attitude of watching a good show.

Cui Ziqi was just joking, but now he really wants to kill someone for fun!

Seeing Cui Ziqi's gloomy face, a belated sense of guilt crept into Xia Wan's heart. She kept her eyes down, but when she lowered her gaze, it fell on a certain spot on Cui Ziqi, and her own face instantly burned.

It seems she just accidentally touched something she shouldn't have.

This joke has gone way too far!

She quickly looked away, glancing at the bedroom door beside her, and said hastily, "Um, I'm sleepy, I'm going to sleep now."

She turned and ran.

As soon as I moved my feet, my arm was pulled hard.

She gasped as the flashlight was smashed to the ground and stopped working completely, her back slamming against the cold wall.

In the darkness, Cui Ziqi kissed her lips precisely.

They gnawed and bit haphazardly, as if venting their dissatisfaction.
