He tiptoed over the corpse on the ground and entered the bungalow.
A simple wooden bed and a wooden wardrobe.
After examining the simple and rudimentary furniture, there was no sign of Cui Ziqi.
The door behind me was suddenly closed, followed by the sound of it locking.
Xia Wan turned to look at the wooden door, her eyes showing no sign of panic, but she feigned alarm when she spoke.
"Cui Nan, what are you doing?"
"The wooden door may be broken, but you can't break it with your strength. However, the pack of starving wolves outside the fence can easily break it open."
Cui Nan stood in front of the wooden door, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
"Xia Wan, you should thank yourself for not having a good relationship with your family. You even severed ties with your father a long time ago. That's perfect, since no one will know if you die here today."
Xia Wan said, "Aren't you afraid that Cui Ziqi will come after you?"
"No matter what, Ziqi is a member of the Cui family. Do you really think that an outsider like you is more important than family?"
Cui Nan snorted coldly, took the key, stepped over the corpses scattered on the ground, and went straight down the mountain.
Xia Wan leaned against the window with security bars, watching Cui Nan's figure disappear into the woods.
In the distance, the wolves outside the iron fence were layered upon each other, all staring hungrily at the food scattered on the ground near the small house.
About ten minutes after Cui Nan left.
The outer iron fence suddenly opened.
A swarm of wolves rushed toward the small house, their green eyes fixed on the food on the ground, while others stared at Xia Wan, who was lying by the window.
Seeing this, Xia Wan was not afraid at all.
She suddenly laughed.
She went into the back mountain with Cui Nan willingly, not to die.
