Chapter 11: Fourth Master: Beat her hard!
"What are you thinking about?" Wenjiu tapped Shanzha on the head and handed the chicken leg to Shanzha: "I left one for you, eat it quickly."
Shanzha looked at the chicken leg and couldn't help but take it and took a big bite.
It was strange, because the chicken legs sent from the kitchen on weekdays were not so fragrant. She only saw her sister roast them again on the small stove, and the fragrance went straight into her nose. Before she knew it, she had eaten the whole one.
The fourth master in the front yard had no appetite at all in front of a table full of delicacies.
Su Peisheng carefully poured the old duck soup that the Fourth Master used every day and placed it in front of him: "Master, would you like some?"
The Fourth Master took it, put it in his mouth, hissed because it was hot, and frowned immediately.
Su Peisheng was startled and fell to his knees with a thud: "This slave deserves to die."
What's wrong with me? I usually like to have boiling hot soup and drink it slowly bit by bit, but after coming back today, I feel absent-minded.
Su Peisheng was extremely curious. So, what on earth did the master and Wenjiu talk about in the room? It actually made the master so concerned.
Suddenly, the Fourth Master slammed the table and said, "How dare you!"
Su Peisheng was startled and lowered his head even lower.
"How outrageous! Too outrageous!" The Fourth Master stood up and paced back and forth with his hands behind his back.
"Go, hang her up and beat her. Hit her on the head until she's unconscious!"
After taking two steps, he added, "Also, search her carefully. If you find any medicine, feed it all to her!"
"Yes, bring some cold water and pour it over her from head to toe ten times!"
"Yeah," Su Peisheng quickly responded, then asked carefully, "Master...who are you talking about?"
Who offended the master like this?
The Fourth Master narrowed his eyes slightly: "Foolish servant, who else could it be?"
"Ask again and I'll have you hung up and beaten!"
Su Peisheng responded hurriedly, and then ran out.
As soon as he went out, he banged his forehead against the pillar.
"What a sin! Who on earth has offended me so thoroughly?"
The master's thoughts are becoming increasingly difficult to guess. Now that he has received an order, he doesn't even know who to punish.
"Grandpa Su," Xiao Xizi came up to him happily and asked, "What are you doing?"
Su Peisheng tried to save the situation: "Xiao Xizi, tell me, who has offended me recently?"
Xiao Xizi scratched his head: "Ah? This, I dare not say."
Su Peisheng glared at him and said, "Just say it when I tell you to!"
Xiao Xizi came up and said, "It was the Fourteenth Master who offended the Master. The Master had someone make a good bow a while ago, and the Fourteenth Master took it away."
Su Peisheng slapped Xiao Xizi on the head: "Nonsense, the Fourteenth Master is our Beile's brother, he was just joking!"
The master would order the Fourteenth Master to be beaten? Is this a joke?
Not to mention Consort De, even the Emperor wouldn't be happy, right? That's the Fourteenth Prince, the Emperor's favorite.
Xiao Xizi rubbed his forehead innocently. "Who else could have offended the master? Could it be that steward who embezzled money a few days ago?"
"Huh?" Su Peisheng slapped his thigh after suddenly realizing something: "Good job, kid, your brain is really useful sometimes!"
An hour later, Su Peisheng came back happily with a confession.
"Master, you are truly amazing. As soon as you used the method I suggested, the steward immediately confessed. Look, this is his confession."
The Fourth Master narrowed his eyes and looked at Su Peisheng's smiling face: "Where did you go just now?"
"I went to the dungeon where the steward was imprisoned." Su Peisheng didn't realize anything was wrong, so he approached with a shameless face, trying to let the Fourth Master take a good look at this confession.
The Fourth Master took a deep breath, stood up and waved to Su Peisheng, motioning him to come over.
Su Peisheng came closer happily.
The Fourth Master pointed out the window and said, "Turn around and take a closer look."
Su Peisheng looked at the tightly sealed window paper and asked, "Master, what's wrong with this window?"
The Fourth Master stretched his muscles and kicked the fat butt.
"Stupid slave!"
After uttering these few words, the Fourth Master straightened his robe and strode out the door.
"You, you, and you! Come with me!" After calling a few guards, the Fourth Master quickly walked out of the yard.
Su Peisheng got up from the ground behind him and shouted anxiously: "Master, please wait a moment, there is really something important to report!"
While rubbing his butt, he stuffed the confession into his clothes and limped out.
In Qingliang Pavilion.
Wenjiu and Shanzha each held a large bowl of mutton noodle soup and inhaled it violently.
There was also a small plate of fried fish and half a roast duck on the table.
Sun Dazhi placed the last small dish of boiled peanuts on the table, smiling broadly, "Miss, it's my fault." He then rummaged through his pockets and said, "Here's the silver too. You can take back the hairpin."
Wenjiu went to help him: "What are you doing, get up quickly."
Sun Dazhi bowed again and again: "Auntie, please take it back. I was ignorant before."
Shanzha was so shocked that he even forgot to eat the noodles and stared at Wenjiu with wide eyes.
Yesterday, when she went to Sun Dazhi to ask for some good food, his arrogant face was still vivid in her mind. Today, before it even got dark, he was calling his sister "Auntie" all the time?
Not only did they get the hairpins they went out to buy back, but they also had two good meals for free.
"Hurry up and get up. I'll take the hairpin back." Wen Jiu took it with a smile and stuffed the silver that Sun Dazhi had put on the table into his pocket: "We can't take your silver. You've spent a lot of money these past two days. I can't let you pay for my meals."
As he spoke, Wenjiu took out some change and gave it to him.
Sun Dazhi confiscated it: "This is the young lady's share, so I can't accept money. Thanks to the young lady for your guidance. I was not careful before. In the future, the meals will be delivered to you in full..."
After saying this, Sun Dazhi ran away with a grin on his face.
"Sister" Hawthorn came over immediately: "You are so awesome!"
"However, this person has changed so quickly. Could there be some conspiracy?"
Wenjiu reached out and picked up a small fried fish and put it into his mouth: "Probably not. Maybe he thought the advice I gave him yesterday was more useful?" The hairpin was a reward from Concubine De. It doesn't look very valuable, but a hairpin that can be exchanged for a chicken leg is a good hairpin.
Shanzha curled her lips: "You're not offering suggestions, you're just finding faults. Isn't it good enough that he doesn't hold a grudge?"
My sister said that the braised pork we made yesterday was too greasy, the way the pork was cut was not right, and there were too many chopped green onions.
She remembered clearly that the meal that her sister said was useless was eaten up by her without wasting a single bit.
Wenjiu knew at a glance that this girl was criticizing him in her heart.
She originally wanted to control it, but she accidentally responded with a conditioned reflex. Can she be blamed for this?
"Hey? Why is Lord Beile here again? And he brought a lot of people with him..." Shanzha glanced outside the door inadvertently and couldn't help but say something.
