Chapter 572 It’s really fatal
Awang carried two buckets of water and caught Yin Le who was about to escape from him, and assigned her the easy job of surveillance.
Yin Le: "I haven't finished chopping wood today, and I haven't started work in the cafeteria yet."
Awang: "I'll help you."
Okay.
Yin Le immediately called out to Liu Gong, who was about to drive into the city: "Brother Liu Gong! Give me a ride. I want to go into the city to buy some things!"
Liu Gong, who was preparing to go into the city with a car full of villagers, stopped and waited for Yin Le to get on the car. Then he whipped the horse and drove off.
Along the way, Yin Le stuck to the lady who cooked for Zhen Yubai and chatted with her enthusiastically. Naturally, he followed her to the restaurant owned by Manager Fan in the city and delivered the letter to a guest inside.
The man looked ordinary, but was tall and had an oppressive look in his eyes. He even glanced at Yin Le twice when he took the letter.
Yin Le lowered her head pretending to be embarrassed, and clearly heard the other person gasp because of the scar on her face.
"Thank you." He said this coldly, took the letter and turned away.
Thanks to Qin Yao, Yin Le, the direct disciple, became familiar with Manager Fan. He waited for the man to go upstairs and into the guest room. While the old lady went to the toilet, Yin Le immediately asked Manager Fan.
Shopkeeper Fan said that the man's surname was Bai and he had been here for more than half a month. He usually stayed in the guest room and rarely went out. Judging from his accent, he seemed to be from Beijing and came here to look for his relatives.
As for the amount more, Shopkeeper Fan doesn’t know either.
Yin Le nodded and took note of it.
Suddenly I remembered the questionnaire template that Master had given me earlier, and asked one more question: "Has he not met anyone? Or has anyone come to see him?"
"I've only seen people from your village come here twice, including this time."
After saying this, Shopkeeper Fan apologized and went on with his business. It was almost lunchtime, and guests kept coming, so he really had no time to greet Yin Le.
It happened that the old lady came back from the toilet, and Yin Le left the restaurant with her.
When the old lady went to buy something, Yin Le did not continue to go with her. He returned to the restaurant and observed secretly.
I didn't have to wait too long before I saw the man coming out of the restaurant and heading towards the cattle and horse market in the west of the city.
Yin Le followed quietly. After this period of double training from Qin Yao and Awang, her concealment skills had improved a lot. The man had not discovered her trace, and even passers-by nearby did not notice her passing by.
What is this situation called? My master said it’s called a visual blind spot.
Yin Le bought a candied haws and held it in his mouth while chewing it while standing in front of the official store selling cows and paying attention to the small shop selling iron plows across the street.
After the man surnamed Bai went in, he said a few words to the store owner, who then hung up a closed sign and closed the door.
Yin Le looked around, chewed the candy crumbs and moved closer, then squatted down at the back window of the shop and pricked up his ears to listen.
I could vaguely hear some words like "Your Highness the Crown Prince", "The situation in the court is serious", "We must ask you to return to Beijing to take charge of the situation".
With a creaky sound, the small door on the side of the tightly closed shop opened, and the man surnamed Bai flashed out, strolling around the cattle and horse market as if nothing had happened, and then left.
According to the investigation template given by his master, Yin Le quickly determined that the man surnamed Bai could no longer provide any more information.
So he continued to squat under the window to see what the owner of the plow shop was going to do.
There was another "creak" sound, and the window above his head suddenly opened, almost scaring Yin Le to jump up.
She quickly concealed her breathing, and crawled on the ground, clinging to the wall.
The person in the room looked around without lowering his head. Seeing that there was no one around, he took out a white dove from the cage beside him, wrapped it in a letter tube, and released the dove.
Yin Le cried out in his heart: This is really terrible!
He waited patiently for the window to close and the sound of footsteps to fade away, then immediately took off and chased in the direction the white dove flew.
He ran all the way out of the city gate and chased to the outskirts of the city. Finally, he could see a white streak in the sky. He suddenly burst into chase for three miles, climbed up a big tree above his head, and threw three darts in his hand. Finally, he heard a "crack" sound, and the white dove fell down with a scream.
Yin Le was overjoyed, but he couldn't relax. He quickly slid down the branch and headed in the direction where the white dove fell.
Fortunately, I found a white pigeon fluttering by the river bank.
The pigeon was just about to fall into the river and float away with the current.
Yin Le gasped for breath and sat down next to the white dove, luckily he did not lose half his life.
"No wonder Awang asked me to come. He would avoid such a hard job." Yin Le muttered softly. He finally recovered his strength, smashed the fluttering pigeon to death with a stone, and removed the scepter from its claws.
After receiving the letter, he checked it first, confirmed that it was correct, put it in his arms and immediately returned to the city gate.
As soon as they arrived at the city gate, they saw Liu Gong and others walking towards the city gate. Yin Le smiled and waved at them.
"Didn't you say you came to the city to buy things? Where are the things?" Seeing that Yin Le had nothing in his hands, Liu Gong asked curiously.
Yin Le secretly said "bad luckily" that she still had half a candied haws in her arms. She quickly took it out and smiled foolishly at everyone, "Hehehe."
Liu Gong couldn't help but shake his head. "Just for this candied haws? Is it worth making a special trip?"
"I don't know what's wrong with me, I've been so greedy lately that I can't eat anything. It feels like there's a fire burning in my stomach." After saying this, Yin Le was surprised that he could talk nonsense so seriously.
It seems that after staying with the master for too long, he has picked up some of his bad habits. Yin Le felt ashamed.
Finally, she begged everyone not to tell anyone in the village that she had gone to the city to eat candied haws.
"If Master knew, I'd be finished." Yin Le pleaded pitifully.
Everyone looked at her with amusement and told her not to worry, as no one would tell anyone.
"Now that everyone is here, let's go back. If we delay any longer, it will be dark in the village."
Everyone nodded, got on Liu Gong's carriage one by one, talked and laughed as they left the city and returned to the village.
"Ale!"
Yin Le's ears twitched and he looked back in surprise.
There were a few scattered people coming in and out of the city gate, everyone was busy making a living and walking in a hurry.
"Auntie, did you hear someone calling me?" Yin Le patted the old lady beside him suspiciously, "I seemed to hear someone calling me just now."
The old lady looked confused and said, "No."
He turned around and continued to chat with the people in the car about the new master's gossip. "You said Master Zhen is not young anymore, but he still hasn't married. Isn't this strange? Could it be that he has some hidden illness?"
Yin Le looked back again. Was he hallucinating?
But the voice just now was similar to that of her eldest brother. Maybe she missed her family too much.
The next second, Yin Le was attracted by the gossip of the women in the village and asked with great interest: "What did you say? Master Zhen has a hidden illness? No way, he looks pretty good."
