Chapter 657 I Can’t Die That Soon
The first time I sneaked into the Imperial Master's Mansion to deliver food to my teacher, our meeting was short but it went smoothly.
But as soon as the two of them came out, the maid who really delivered food came, and the plan was exposed.
But this did not pose a problem for Liu Ji, as his wife had plenty of ways to deal with it.
The second time he entered the Imperial Master's Mansion was at noon. The two servants who served Gong Liangliao were leaning against the door and taking a nap when the back window was pried open.
Qin Yao sent Liu Ji in, dipped the two servants in some Awang brand special sleeping pills, and then stood outside the window waiting.
This trick works very well and I used it for three days in a row.
Qin Yao waited under the window with her arms folded. Seeing Liu Ji happily jumping down from the window with an empty lunch box, she asked jokingly, "Are you ready?"
Liu Ji nodded: "Yeah."
Qin Yao: "Let's go, come back tomorrow."
Liu Ji immediately smiled at her like a flower, but the villain in his heart shouted: Such a good wife, I will work like a slave for her all my life!
After climbing over the wall and leaving the Imperial Master's Mansion, Liu Ji looked at the people coming and going on the road and sighed: "It was really smooth."
Qin Yao raised her eyebrows in surprise and looked at him deliberately.
Someone was thinking about buying some delicious food to take home and entertain his children, and he didn't even look at her, as if he was just casually expressing his feelings.
Qin Yao curled her lips, realizing that she really couldn't have too high expectations of him.
"Yeah, it went really smoothly." She said faintly.
It went so smoothly as if someone had opened a back door for them, and they went in and out of the Imperial Master's Mansion several times without any harm.
Liu Ji was still thinking that he would have to prepare something to cool down the teacher next time. The climate in Kyoto is hotter than their place, and short shirts can be worn in April.
I didn't understand Qin Yao's profound meaning at all.
That day, the same trick was used as usual. After the drug was used, the two servants in the room fell into a deep sleep. Liu Ji brought food in and gave the teacher some extra food while muttering:
"Teacher, you can't do this. You can't get better just by relying on my meals every day. You still have to live to be ninety-nine. We have to treat the disease and take the medicine. No matter how bad the food in the Imperial Master's Mansion tastes, you have to eat more to have strength."
The weather is getting hot, so this time we sent a bowl of mung bean paste and some snacks made by Awang.
Qin Feng’s family has added a new oven to their kitchen, so they can make egg cakes again. The family has been eating a lot of cakes these days.
In response to Qin Yao's call, Awang and Yin Le had already started figuring out how to make milk tea powder for her.
In fact, I had nothing to do, so when I finally got a task, I naturally put in all my energy.
Gong Liangliao ate the soft cake with refreshing green bean paste, listened to the chatter in his ears, and took a look at the furnishings in the room that were exactly the same as those in the Lotus Courtyard. For a moment, he seemed to have returned to that carefree little mountain village, comfortable and at ease.
After finishing the cake and eating most of the mung bean paste, the old man wiped his mouth with satisfaction and stopped. He looked at Liu Ji who excitedly told him that he would come again tomorrow, and sighed helplessly.
"Don't come again tomorrow."
Liu Ji thought that something would happen tomorrow, so he said, "Then we'll come the day after tomorrow."
The warmth in Gong Liangliao's eyes faded, "What I mean is, don't come here anymore in the future."
In fact, the food at the Imperial Master's Mansion tastes pretty good, and San'er's cooking skills are not particularly special. He eats so happily simply because of the good memories that the food brings him.
But there has to be a limit to indulging yourself, and this is enough for now.
"Go back and finish reading the book I left for you, and you will be able to cope with the Spring Examination. You can't let others rush you forward in life. You have to understand one thing: if you want to become better, you can only rely on your own efforts."
Gong Liangliao put down the bowl of mung bean soup. He had eaten comfortable food in the past few days and indeed regained a lot of strength. The medicine prescribed by the Imperial Hospital was also effective. He forced himself to drink a few doses of the medicine and his breathing became better.
But he was more aware of one fact: his body's energy and blood were almost exhausted and he didn't have much time left.
Liu Ji was shocked and said anxiously: "Teacher, don't worry, I'm not afraid of that damn national teacher. I'll go find my junior brother and we'll work together to find a way to rescue you, seriously!"
Gong Liangliao admitted that he felt relieved to hear these words, but he could not drag his two good apprentices into this trouble again.
"Liu Ji!" He called him in a loud voice, with rare severity, "If you still recognize me as your teacher, you should listen to me and continue to be your Liu Saner, and don't come to Kyoto to get involved in this mess."
"Don't let the disciple that I have worked so hard to train die young!" Gong Liangliao gritted his teeth, already angry.
Liu Ji subconsciously shrank his neck. The teacher was still scary when he got angry. He said, "Then I can't just watch my teacher go hungry and cold."
Gong Liangliao, who was sweating from the heat, glared at him and said harshly, "All the suffering I have endured is due to my own sins. It has nothing to do with others. You and the Immortal Officials don't have the ability to make me suffer. You are just an ordinary person, so don't try to add any heroic halo to yourself!"
To be honest, if it weren't for Yao Niang, there would be no possibility for them, master and disciple, to meet again in this life.
Liu Ji thought that the Imperial Master's Mansion was a place where he could come and go freely, but in fact, if it weren't for Yao Niang, he wouldn't even be able to find the gate of the Imperial Master's Mansion.
Glancing at the figure outside the window, Gong Liangliao said coldly, "Go with Yao Niang. If anyone asks you in the future, don't say you are my disciple."
Liu Ji's whole body was shocked, his eyes full of confusion. He couldn't understand why the teacher was fine just now and suddenly threw a tantrum and started talking nonsense.
He raised his hand and touched Gong Liangliao's forehead, and murmured in surprise: "It's not burned."
Then he asked unconvincedly: "What about the little brother? Can't Qi Xianguan say that he is your disciple, Gong Liangliao?"
Gong Liangliao: "."
Liu Ji chuckled, and shook his bangs, which stood up again. "I know that the teacher doesn't want to implicate me and my junior brother, but I didn't get involved. I just brought some delicious food to the teacher. Can't I come to see you?"
"I have said that I would take care of you until your death. A person should keep his word. You taught me this, so I will serve you until you die." Liu Ji said sincerely.
"You!" Gong Liangliao was so anxious that he coughed twice, which frightened the master and disciple so much that they quickly looked at the two unconscious servants. When they saw that they were not awake, they all breathed a sigh of relief.
Gong Liangliao really couldn't help it, so he raised his hand and gave Liu Ji a slap on the face.
Liu Ji rubbed his forehead. Compared with his wife's slap, the teacher's was nothing. He felt that tickling was not enough. He glanced at Gong Liangliao like a naughty child. Fortunately, Gong Liangliao was angry to death on the spot.
In fact, Liu Ji knew his own weight very well. While patting the teacher's back to calm him down, he whispered in his ear:
"Teacher, just order whatever you want to eat. I will find a way to get it for you. I don't care about the princess or the prince at all. I just want you to eat and drink well, and go comfortably and peacefully."
The breath that Gong Liangliao had just let go suddenly rose up again, "Fuck you! I can't die that soon!"
