At the bottom of the cliff, Su Mengyan and Situ Yao spent the night safely. The next morning, Situ Yao suddenly developed a high fever due to a wound infection.
Su Mengyan looked at Situ Yao who was unconscious with a red face. She had no medicine, so she could only go out to get some water and use the most primitive method to reduce his fever.

"Where is the girl's friend? Can you take me to see her?" he asked gently. Because of his eye disease, he couldn't see where Su Mengyan was, but he could accurately find the location of Linglan.
"Thank you, sir." After expressing her gratitude, Su Mengyan led the way.
"I wonder why the girl came to the bottom of this cliff?" the doctor asked in confusion.
"We came here for fun and accidentally ended up here. We encountered a pack of wolves and finally escaped by hiding in a cave." Su Mengyan did not tell them the truth. These two people looked like they had not been in the world for a long time and had simple minds. She did not want to be contaminated by things outside.

The doctor remained silent. He could sense Situ Yao's vigilance and displeasure, but as he was focused on saving people, he paid no attention. Instead, he introduced himself, "Don't worry, sir. We are villagers from nearby. I'm Fang Linyuan, and this is my sister, Fang Linglan."
Hearing that it was a villager, Situ Yao relaxed his guard. After Su Mengyan's persuasion, he finally agreed to let Fang Linyuan take his pulse.

Su Mengyan was amused by her and took the prepared medicine to Situ Yao. When she opened the door, she saw that he had woken up and was sitting there, looking at the surrounding environment.

He drank the medicine she brought him in one gulp, and the bitter taste made him frown.
"Sister, come out for dinner." Linglan shouted from outside. She was a little afraid of Situ Yao, so she hid at the door and watched him secretly.
