Chapter 21 Setting up a trap

Su Mengyan had no time to respond and nodded repeatedly to show her loyalty.

She had been injured in the mountains before, and then was kidnapped again. When she came back, she watched Situ Yao kill people and was frightened. So the next day after returning to the imperial mausoleum, Su Mengyan had a high fever and fell ill.

Situ Yao learned the news in the morning when no one was serving him. When he finished dealing with the difficult matters and went to see Su Mengyan, she was already unconscious and had a high fever.

Even the doctor was helpless and could only bite the bullet and say, "This girl is frightened. I have already prescribed medicine to reduce the fever. As for whether she can recover...it depends on her herself."

Situ Yao's face darkened: "Are you scared?"

Since the doctor was able to come to this place, he probably knew Situ Yao's identity. When he saw his expression, his heart trembled and he said in a trembling voice: "But the young lady is lucky and has a long life. She should be fine."

Situ Yao felt annoyed after hearing this, and waved his hand to let people leave.

He sat by the bed and looked at Su Mengyan who was sleeping in the bed, and suddenly smiled after a while.

In other words, Su Mengyan fell asleep and didn't see it. If she had seen it, she would have been frightened awake.

Situ Yao's expression was a bit strange. He sneered and said, "Don't even think about running away. Even if you end up in Yama Palace, I will bring people to snatch you back. You belong to me, and I won't let you die!"

The person on the bed shuddered slightly as if he heard it.

However, because of her illness, even though Su Mengyan vaguely heard someone talking in her ear, she was unable to wake up and just fell asleep again.

Su Mengyan felt like she had a very long dream. The dream was chaotic. Someone was calling her name, and someone was threatening her viciously not to die.

She couldn't tell whose voice it was, but just hearing that fierce voice made her furious. How could she sleep peacefully? If someone really had that much power, he could go and snatch people from the King of Hell!

Situ Yao has been very busy recently and only has a short time every day to visit Su Mengyan.

Seeing that Su Mengyan was still unconscious, his expression became even gloomier.

I've had three doctors, and each one says the same thing.

Situ Yao was furious when he heard this. What did he mean by "seeing Su Mengyan's own consciousness"? Was she not awake because she didn't want to see him?

How dare she?

Suppressing his anger, Situ Yao decided to teach Su Mengyan a lesson after she woke up.

He was so busy today that he almost had no time to rest, replacing all the people in the imperial mausoleum with his own people.

By the time the few remaining confidants of Concubine Bai discovered something was wrong, it was already too late.

They lost their lives just by sending out a message.

Situ Yao spread the news that the imperial tomb was haunted.

As a result, people outside thought that it was the work of ghosts, and the rumors became more and more bizarre. The most widely circulated one was that the current disaster in the imperial mausoleum was caused by the current favored Concubine Bai who had done something against the will of heaven.

When the rumor reached Concubine Bai's ears, she was arranging flowers and immediately broke the glass vase that she had treasured for a long time.

The palace maid was so frightened that she immediately knelt down and begged for mercy, her body trembling, fearing that she would be taken out on by the emperor and lose her life.

Concubine Bai waved her hand and told all the palace maids to get out.

However, there was a fearless person who came in from outside and spoke in a delicate voice: "Mother, who made you angry?"
