Chapter 47: A Broken Heart

Huo Siyuan seemed to have difficulty even looking at her. Without saying a word, he walked past her and strode in, his cold and disgusted attitude clearly expressed.

Hua Rongrong was left alone to perform a solo with no one to cooperate with her.

Hua Rongrong looked embarrassed. At this moment, she felt that the servants and security guards beside her were looking at her with contempt, ridicule and mockery.

She gritted her teeth, stomped her feet, turned around and quickly caught up with Huo Siyuan.

The latter was tall, had long legs and walked fast. Hua Rongrong, who was wearing high heels, couldn't keep up with him for a while, especially since the floor was covered with a soft carpet, which made walking comfortable, but very inconvenient in high heels.

"Brother Yuan, Brother Yuan!" Hua Rongrong called Huo Siyuan's name anxiously.

Huo Siyuan's expression became even more sinister. Without even turning his head, he saw Uncle Wang directing the servants to wipe the murals in front of the hall.

"What's wrong with this woman? Who allowed her to come in?" Huo Siyuan stopped and looked at Uncle Wang with a murderous look.

Even Uncle Wang, who had seen a lot of ups and downs and had watched him grow up, felt a chill run down his spine. "Sir, it was Madam's idea. Madam invited Ms. Hua Rongrong to stay temporarily."

"Song, Li." Huo Siyuan whispered two words through his teeth. His temples were throbbing and he was almost laughing out of anger.

He ignored Hua Rongrong who was chasing after him, strode towards the stairs and went straight to the second floor.

"Brother Yuan!" Hua Rongrong's heart was almost broken, but she still didn't give up and raised her foot to follow him.

Uncle Wang was quick-witted and strode to the stairs to block her path: "Ms. Hua Rongrong, please stay."

Hua Rongrong was very angry and didn't care about maintaining her image: "Get out of the way, I want to find Brother Yuan!" Hua Rongrong tried to rush past, but Uncle Wang was faster and blocked her before she could move.

Although he usually puts on a kind and amiable appearance, Uncle Wang is less than fifty years old and is quite agile.

"I am the distinguished guest invited by Xiao Li. How dare you stop me?!" Hua Rongrong frowned and her usual delicate and gentle expression was gone.

Uncle Wang said expressionlessly, "The master doesn't like you pestering him."

"You!" Hua Rongrong stomped her feet in anger. If the floor wasn't covered with thick and soft carpet, it would have probably cracked.

What does it mean to pester? She just wanted to say a few more words to Brother Yuan! She also wanted to ask why Brother Yuan blocked her number. Did he have any misunderstandings about her? Did Song Li say bad things about her behind her back?

Hua Rongrong had a lot of things to say to Brother Yuan, but the other party refused to cooperate.

Hua Rongrong watched helplessly as Huo Siyuan's tall and handsome figure disappeared before her. Her face flushed with anger. She said angrily, "I want to go back to my room. Get out of my way!"

The room Song Li arranged for Hua Rongrong was on the second floor, next to Huo Siyuan.

Uncle Wang caught a glimpse of Huo Siyuan walking into Song Li's room, and when he saw the door close, he moved to the side and made room.

"You please."

Hua Rongrong glared at him fiercely, stomped her feet hard, and ran upstairs with her skirt lifted up.

"Since you are a guest, please recognize your identity and do not disturb the gentleman and the lady. Otherwise, please leave the Huo family immediately."

Uncle Wang's indifferent voice sounded behind him, without any disguise.

Hua Rongrong bit her lip, her eyes full of resentment, tears of humiliation welling up in her red eyes. She paused for a moment, then quickly walked towards her room and slammed the door shut.

Hua Rongrong wiped her tears, and the tears of humiliation in her eyes could no longer be held back and fell.

It's like a flood that has broken through the dam and can never stop flowing.

The pain in my heart was so excruciating that it felt like it was broken into pieces.

Just as the heroine's glass heart was shattered, Song Li also felt bad.

Song Li stared in amazement at the door that was suddenly opened from the outside and Huo Siyuan who strode towards her.

Song Li froze while petting the cat, and subconsciously widened his eyes: "How did you get the key to my room?"

Although she didn't lock the door in broad daylight, she locked it out of habit.

Huo Siyuan didn't answer her, but walked towards her with dark eyes. Even with his expressionless face, Song Li could sense the subtle anger in him.

Song Li felt creepy and alarm bells rang.

Huo Siyuan walked directly in front of her, but stopped two or three steps away, looking down at her. His tall figure cast a shadow, giving people a sense of oppression.

Huo Siyuan glanced indifferently at the ragdoll cat lying in Song Li's arms. Where were its paws resting?! He wanted to chop them off.

The ragdoll cat buried in Song Li's chest sensed the danger, meowed in fear, and suddenly struggled to jump up from Song Li's arms. Then, it quickly "whoosh" and ran to some corner of the room to escape.

The cat ran away, and Huo Siyuan's eyes didn't seem as scary as before.

Huo Siyuan looked at Song Li and tried to keep his tone gentle: "Ali, I need you to explain what's going on with that woman?"

The gentleness made Song Li shiver. The tone was as if she had brought back a man and dyed his hair a little color.

"Hua Rongrong is my friend. I asked her to stay for a few days. Is that okay?"

As Song Li spoke, he carefully looked at Huo Siyuan's expression.

His expression became increasingly gloomy, and his entire body exuded an aura that kept strangers away.

Song Li could clearly feel that the temperature of the air around her suddenly dropped as soon as she finished speaking.

Song Li: “???”

Why this reaction? She hadn't said anything wrong, had she? Was it because she was too impatient? Did she do something inappropriate to him that angered him?

Song Li was speechless. "You can't eat hot tofu in a hurry, haven't you heard that?" This white lotus is simply hopelessly stupid. Rubbish system, don't just give your heroine a halo, give her some IQ!

Song Li roared at the system in his mind, but the system was as dead as ever since Huo Siyuan came in, and it remained silent.

"A Li..." Huo Siyuan leaned over, and Song Li was completely shrouded in his shadow, with his back to the light, and his expression became more sinister.

Holy crap, the male lead has another attack for no apparent reason?!

Song Li's scalp tingled and she subconsciously wanted to escape, but she suddenly remembered the kind of tune Huo Siyuan might like. She suppressed her panic and forced herself to remain calm and composed as she looked at him.

Not afraid, not afraid.

The more you fear the male protagonist, the more you like him.

Stay steady.

Huo Siyuan held the swing basket's pole with one hand and touched Song Li's cheek with the other.

"Ali..." Huo Siyuan's voice was tender and affectionate, but Song Li could hear the gnashing of teeth in his voice. "Don't think I don't know what you're up to. Ali, you're mine. Don't even think about leaving me."

"Don't think you can leave me by sending that woman to me."

It was impossible before, and it is even more impossible now.
