Chapter 3: Breaking off the Engagement

After leaving the man to the Lin family couple who had gotten up, Su Wanwan clapped her hands and asked:

"Can we have a good chat now?"

The Lin couple were filled with hatred, but they didn't dare to curse anymore.

I was really scared of being beaten.

"What on earth do you want to do? You beat up Boss Lin's family like this. Do you think Jiaojiao will be alright in the future?"

The old branch secretary was smoking a pipe and looked very unhappy.

The villagers who dared to beat him in front of him, did they really take him seriously?

If Su Wanwan wasn't a girl, he would have had her beaten up.

"Oh--"

This sneer completely infuriated the old branch secretary, and his face turned dark.

"Why won't it be okay?"

Looking up, I met the old branch secretary's angry expression:

"Jiaojiao is my niece. Do you think it's better for her to live with me or with Boss Lin's family?"

The old branch secretary didn't expect Su Wanwan to say that. He opened his mouth but didn't know how to answer.

"The first thing they said was the house and the land. Did Boss Lin say anything about the child? Do you think I would give them a child like that? Am I crazy, or are you blind?"

This opening of his mouth looks like it could kill someone.

The group of young people who listened to it were all excited.

They were usually chased and scolded by the old branch secretary, and now there was a girl arguing with the old branch secretary. They felt so happy.

"no!!!"

Boss Lin yelled, and then covered his cheek. It really hurt.

Turning to look at him contemptuously, Su Wanwan asked:

"Didn't you say that the family would split up?"

After successfully choking Boss Lin, Su Wanwan said to everyone:

"I will take care of Jiaojiao. I will sell the house and land. I will also take the compensation for my sister and brother-in-law!"

This really stirred up a hornet's nest, and the surrounding villagers started talking about it immediately.

Su Wanwan looks very petite, but she says such domineering words, and she doesn't seem oppressive at all.

"You are a grown woman and you haven't married yet. You are raising Jiaojiao, don't you want to get married?"

Finally someone asked this question, but Su Wanwan was not afraid of it:

“If the man I marry can’t tolerate Jiaojiao, why should I marry him?

I alone can support Jiaojiao!"

She can work and earn money. Where can she not find a decent job?

It was only the early 1990s, and there were opportunities everywhere, especially opportunities to make money.

"I heard that you are engaged, and the man is from our village."

At this time, Su Wanwan remembered one thing. The original owner was indeed engaged, and the man was from Linjia Village. At that time, she wanted to be close to her sister so that the two sisters could take care of each other.

Being reminded that she was behind, Su Wanwan glanced around and finally stopped at a man.

"Wanwan, Jiaojiao is better off staying with the Lin family. Is it appropriate for you, an aunt, to take care of a child?"

Zhao Weiping walked over and said to Su Wanwan with an unhappy look on his face.

"cut!

Look!

Even your man thinks it's inappropriate. Are you dumbfounded?

I say, Su Wanwan, you are an unmarried girl, why do you mind other people’s business?

If you want to be pampered, come to our Lin family. I will do my best as your aunt. Isn't it embarrassing to say that? "

Mrs. Lin added sarcastically.

She hated Su Wanwan to death. This woman was completely different from her dead sister.

If you can’t beat him or scold him, you can at least trick him, right?

But Su Wanwan didn't look at the sarcastic woman, but looked at Zhao Weiping's face.

"Do you think it's bad for me to bring Jiaojiao with me?"

Zhao Weiping, who had been watching the show, nodded:

"We're all from the same village. Once you marry here, everyone will see you everywhere. That's not good!"

It was exactly the same answer as the original owner's memory.

What did the original owner say?

I remember that was the only time she was tough in this matter.

"Then cancel the engagement. I remember your family didn't give any engagement gifts. It was just a verbal engagement without going through all the formalities!

Now that we've opened up, I hope you find a good wife!"

After saying this, he faced the shocked Lin family.

"Is it okay now?"

Zhao Weiping didn't expect Su Wanwan to say that, and looked at her in disbelief.

"What did you say?"

Being rejected in public is a huge slap in the face.

Su Wanwan will not give Zhao Weiping face:

"Your ears aren't working well? Go see a doctor. Why can't I cancel the engagement with a selfish villain like you?"

Zhao Weiping was breathing heavily, his hands clenched tightly.

He really wanted to slap her, but he had just seen how Su Wanwan beat someone, and he thought he was no better than Boss Lin.

"Su Wanwan, think carefully. If you dare to break off the engagement today, no one will dare to marry you in the future!"

Su Wanwan was happy.

"If I remember correctly, you didn't graduate from junior high school, right?

I am still in medical school, right?

So I'm a college student, right?

And I'm a nursing major, so who wouldn't be hired in the future?"

Everyone then remembered that Su Wanwan was not the kind of girl from the countryside who was in a hurry to get married. She was someone who would have a stable job in the future.

Now there was much more sympathy in the look he gave Zhao Weiping.

This kid has a hole in his brain.

"But it was you who took the initiative to be with me!"

Su Wanwan scratched her eyebrows:

"So I took the initiative to cancel the engagement!"

"I fell in love with you because you looked decent and you were from the same village as my sister, so we could take care of each other in the future.

Now that I realize you're a fucking jerk, why should I marry you?
