Yun Qing's eyes widened slightly, ruthlessly interrupting his thoughts: "Do you understand what you're doing, acting like a hooligan in front of the teacher? Xie Qi'an, you're supposed to be an emperor, can't you at least act like one?"
Xie Rang suppressed a smile: "I understand."
Admitting your mistake is the quickest thing to do; whether you correct it or not is something to consider next time.
Yun Qing was aware of this, but she was too lazy to argue with him. Besides, he wouldn't listen anyway, so there was no point in continuing to emphasize it.
She moved to the bedside and switched on the light. In an instant, the entire bedroom was plunged into darkness. The light from the streetlamp shone through the curtains, barely allowing them to see each other's blurry shadows in the dark.
With the air conditioning on, the summer heat was almost gone. Xie Rang contentedly pulled the person into his arms. For the first time in summer, he wasn't being disliked, and he couldn't contain his excitement.
After all, the boy, who had no memory of the past few days, could only look on with longing but couldn't eat it. He had been coveting it for some time, and now all his emotions had piled up. Xie Rang would feel bad if he didn't do something to show his appreciation.
Like a dog marking its territory, it won't give up until it leaves its scent all over its prey.
Yun Qing closed her eyes, almost falling asleep, but his movements woke her up. Unable to bear it any longer, she reached out and pinched his arm, her tone not very friendly: "Xie Qi'an, are you going to sleep or not?"
Xie Rang cautiously replied, "Sleep."
"Then get some sleep and don't touch me."
Yun Qing thought for a moment, then turned around and snuggled into his arms, her voice languid: "Sleep."
Having gotten used to being together, Yun Qing found it rather strange to sleep alone these days. She rarely took the initiative, but she had to admit that she felt completely at ease with Xie Rang by her side.
Soon, she felt the young man carefully pull her into his arms: "Goodnight, Grand Tutor."
I slept soundly through the night.
