After dinner, the two went to wash up. It was hot, and they had inevitably sweated a lot during the day, so a shower would make them feel better.
Xie Rang came from a well-off family in modern times, but his parents were in a business marriage and basically didn't care about him. During the day, he had someone pack his luggage and send it over. While Yun Qing was taking a bath, he slowly put his clothes into the closet.
Finally, looking at the wardrobe filled with their clothes, he nodded in satisfaction.
Yun Qing saw his childish behavior as soon as she came out and laughed: "I feel like we won't be staying here for too long. Aren't you worried about bringing so much stuff over here?"
"It's no trouble, as long as we're together."
Xie Rang turned to look at her. Yun Qing had just finished showering, and the ends of her hair were still wet. He picked up a hairdryer to help her dry her hair, but she pushed him toward the bathroom.
Yun Qing glanced at him and said, "Alright, I don't need you to take care of me. I've been walking all day. Go take a shower first."
Xie Rang's Adam's apple bobbed, and for some reason, he agreed without Yun Qing having to say much: "Okay."
The advantage of short hair is that it's really easy to manage. In the time it took Xie Rang to take a shower, Yun Qing had enough time to dry her hair.
So the sound of the hairdryer had barely stopped when Yunqing heard footsteps behind her, followed by a strong arm pulling her into a hug.
The boy's pajamas were loosely worn, with the buttons undone. Yun Qing's back was pressed against his chest, and she could feel the intense heat emanating from him, as well as some unspoken thoughts.
Xie Rang casually narrowed his eyes, put his hands on her shoulders, and whispered intimately in her ear, "Sister, I'm very curious about the modern world. Can I experience it?"
