Xie Rang made the final decision.

He had no opinion on where to go; the Grand Tutor could go wherever he wanted.

"Lord Li?!"

As they were chatting, they suddenly heard someone calling out from a nearby stall. The call was clearly directed at someone, and Yun Qing instinctively turned her head to see a vendor selling candied hawthorns. The vendor looked at her with a somewhat uneasy expression.

She smiled and replied to the vendor, "It's me, sir. Do you need any help?"

"No, no." The vendor rubbed his hands together. "We are all very grateful to the adults for allowing us to have a full meal. If you don't mind, please take two skewers of candied hawthorns."

The people see best who truly cares for them. No matter how Yun Qing recommended her, she still took two strings of candied hawthorns in the end. She smiled and handed one of the strings to Xie Rang: "A token of the people's goodwill, have a taste?"

Yun Qing wasn't some old-fashioned patriarch; she didn't keep a strict eye on Xie Rang and let him try all sorts of strange and unusual things, let alone a simple string of candied hawthorns.

"The Grand Tutor is really popular."

Xie Rang muttered something inexplicably. He took a bite and found it sweet. He glanced to the side and saw that Yun Qing seemed to have bitten into a sour one, and her brows furrowed slightly.

She relaxed for a moment, then ate another one. Some of the broken sugar coating clung to her lips, and when she brushed it with her tongue, it tasted sweet. A slight smile appeared on her lips, making her look incredibly tempting.

Xie's heart skipped a beat.

He hastily averted his gaze.
