Chapter 3: A Fight

Chen Jingxi took a deep breath, chased after him, stood in front of Chu Jinghuai, glared at him and said, "Say it again, you bastard."

Chu Jinghuai stood with his hands behind his back and said coldly, "How come the princess's brain is damaged and her ears are not working well either?"

He knew everything about the palace, including why she fell from the attic, what kind of person his princess was, and what she had done in the past three years.

Such a stupid woman is not worthy of being his princess.

Chen Jingxi naturally didn't know what was going on in his mind. She only knew that this man had gone to the battlefield on his wedding night and hadn't said a word of concern to her in the past three years.

As soon as he came back, he started to sneer and mock me. He didn't care, but he felt sorry for the original owner. She had been a widow in this palace for three years, and was bullied by his concubines from time to time. This time, she even lost her life.

I didn’t expect that the boss now knew everything, okay.

Chen Jingxi sneered and retorted, "I'm sorry to disappoint you, Your Highness. This fall didn't only not damage my brain, but it also helped me understand many things."

"I know that the prince is often at the border and rarely talks to girls, so he tends to be mean when he speaks. This is not the prince's fault. As long as the prince apologizes to me, I will be generous and forgive you this time."

Chunmei's legs went weak and she looked at Chen Jingxi with pleading eyes, "Princess, please stop talking. Didn't you see the look in the prince's eyes that made him want to kill someone?"

Chu Jinghuai's forehead was bulging with blue veins, and he suspected that he had misheard. "Chen Jingxi, what did you say?"

Chen Jingxi had a forced smile on her face. She had never been in a good mood towards men who had no sense of responsibility and were disrespectful to their wives.

"Your Highness, why are you hearing impaired? Why don't you see a doctor? It's such a shame that he's deaf at such a young age."

Chunmei broke out in a cold sweat. When the servants beside her heard this, their faces turned pale. Is this princess trying to kill herself? How dare she say that to the prince?

Chu Jinghuai's face instantly turned pale, his eyes icy cold. He took a step forward, his movements as swift as a leopard, and mercilessly grabbed Chen Jingxi's chin, his tone extremely cold: "You're looking for death."

This damn woman, I just said one word to her and she started cursing at me non-stop. I am a foul-mouthed and deaf person, and I still have to apologize to her?

Chen Jingxi didn't expect that Chu Jinghuai was not only a rude man, but also a violent man.

She was startled, but then calmed down. Humph, she was a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, how could she be afraid of him?

She smiled, but a cold look flashed in her eyes. Before Chu Jinghuai could react, she elbowed him cleanly and directly at his vital point.

Then, she pinched his vitals again, her tone as cold as ice: "I'm not that easy to bully."

Chu Jinghuai's face turned even uglier as he felt the pain. He hadn't expected Chen Jingxi to fight back like this, and for a moment he was caught off guard.

He quickly stabilized his body and grabbed Chen Jingxi's wrist. "Chen, what do you want to do?"

Chen Jingxi didn't expect this man to be so fast. If he couldn't die with him, he could at least cripple him.

She fell on Chu Jinghuai, blinked, and said coquettishly: "Oh, Prince, I got up too early and haven't had breakfast yet. I have hypoglycemia, and you don't know how to care about me."

After saying that, he didn't forget to raise his fist and hit Chu Jinghuai in the chest.

Chu Jinghuai's mouth twitched as he looked at her hand that was beating his chest. With such force, if he didn't have his internal energy to protect him, he would definitely have vomited blood.

Thinking back to her expression just now, it was simply disgusting. And hypoglycemia? What did this mean? Could it be a term that has become popular in the capital since I haven't been back for many years?

"How dare you." Chu Jinghuai grabbed the hand that was hitting him.

Chunmei was now slumped on the ground. She wanted to go up and plead for her master, but she didn't dare to get close to Chu Jinghuai. The other servants also lowered their heads and said nothing.

Concubine Zhao stood aside with a smile on her lips.

Chu Jinghuai looked at her with cold, sharp eyes. Chen Jingxi was not afraid at all, and her eyes showed indifference. "If you want to kill me, then kill me. I'm not afraid of you."

The two of them were in a stalemate for a moment, and Chu Jinghuai had a vague feeling in his heart that the person in front of him was different from the person who had lifted the veil on his wedding night, looking timid and evasive.

As Chen Jingxi looked at the man's face up close, he couldn't help but sigh inwardly, how could he be such a scumbag when he is so handsome and rich?

"Are you Chen Jingxi?" Chu Jinghuai lowered his eyes and asked in a stern voice.

Chen Jingxi was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, "How come the prince is so old and blurry, or has he got Alzheimer's disease, that he can't even recognize his own princess."

Although she had mistaken him just now, it was not her fault. Who would have known that a prince who had fought on the battlefield would come back in a sedan chair.

Isn't the one portrayed in the novels and TV series a young man in fine clothes and on a horse? Although he's not a young man, his level of prestige should be similar.

"You!" Chu Jinghuai suppressed anger in his voice.

Chen Jingxi looked up at his stern face. It was obvious that this guy wanted to kill her.

At this moment, a delicate voice broke the deadlock: "Your Highness, the princess has just recovered from a serious illness, and the wound on her head hasn't healed yet. That's why she was a little extreme in her words. She didn't mean it. Please forgive her, Your Highness."

Chu Jinghuai snorted coldly and pushed Chen Jingxi away.

Chen Jingxi glared at Concubine Zhao. This green tea bitch really deserved a beating. She openly said that she was mentally ill.

Concubine Zhao glanced at Chen Jingxi provocatively and continued, "Your Highness has worked hard on the journey. Why don't you go in first? I have asked someone to prepare the hot spring bath. Your Highness, please wash up first."

Chu Jinghuai snorted and walked away with a flick of his sleeves.

Concubine Zhao followed eagerly.

Chen Jingxi touched her neck. Her head was already aching, and the pinch from the man below made her feel even more uncomfortable.
