Lin Chan shook her head. Compared to fame, she wanted to live more. Besides, she made money to support herself in an honest way, and no one could look down on her.
Chen Jingxi nodded and said, "If you encounter any difficulties here, you can tell me..."
Lin Chan waved her hands hastily, a blush on her face: "No, everyone is very nice to me."
Chen Jingxi nodded, tapping the table lightly with his index finger, as if he was thinking about something.
After a moment, she asked, "Miss Lin, I have something to ask you."
Lin Chan said softly, "Sir, please tell me. I will tell you everything I know."
"How did your father become addicted to gambling?"
Mentioning this, a trace of sadness flashed in Lin Chan's eyes. "My father went out with someone a year and a half ago, and after returning, he became interested in gambling."
Chen Jingxi pressed on: "Then where did he go?"
Lin Chan shook her head. "I only know that my father's classmates invited him there. I don't know exactly where he went."
Chen Jingxi asked again, "Do you know the name of that classmate?"
Lin Chan recalled for a moment and said, "I heard my father call him Brother Chengliang."
Chen Jingxi nodded, "I understand, thank you Miss Lin."
"Sir, you are too polite. From now on, just call me Chan'er."
"Okay, Miss Chan'er." Chen Jingxi stood up and prepared to leave.
Lin Chan looked at her, a hint of reluctance flashed in her eyes, and asked softly, "Sir, when will you come next time?"
"I'll come when I'm free." After saying that, she turned and left.
Lin Chan looked at her departing back with a faint smile on her face.
"Ask Ling Feng to check on a man named Cheng Liang. He might frequent the gambling house."
"Yes, sir." Han Yu bowed.
"Also tell him to be careful and not let anyone find out."
"I understand."
