Chapter 183 Sachet

At Bai Jinjin's command, the royal guards outside the door rushed in.

"Your Highness the Ninth Princess, what are your instructions?"

The commander half-knelt on the ground and said.

When Li Qi saw this scene, his face turned pale and he stepped back.

"You should be just a child from a side branch. How did you end up in the Imperial College?" Bai Jinjin stepped forward and asked coldly.

"Yes, Madam Lin sent me here." Li Qi murmured when he saw Bai Jinjin's powerful aura.

Bai Jinjin raised her eyebrows when she heard this, "If you tell a lie, your tongue will be cut off."

Li Qi immediately covered his mouth and hurriedly explained, "Everything I said is true."

"In that case, please ask Lin Shuzhan to take you back and tell Madam Lin what you did today." Bai Jinjin did not give Lin Shuzhan any face.

Lin Shuzhan, who arrived late, looked at Li Qi in the room and frowned, "Why are you here?"

"Brother Zhan, please save me." Li Qi was really scared now. Why did she rashly go forward to question Bai Jinjin?

Bai Jinjin turned to Lin Shuzhan and said, "Brother Zhan, I'd like to trouble you to send someone to send Miss Li back."

Upon hearing this, Lin Shuzhan nodded without hesitation. Bai Jinjin was a little surprised. She thought Lin Shuzhan would question her.

"In that case, Miss Li, please go back." Bai Jinjin turned her head and said to Li Qi.

Li Qi wanted to say something, but was forced back by Lin Shuzhan's eyes. He could only follow Lin Shuzhan and leave obediently.

After the incident was over, Bai Jinjin stood at the front, looking at everyone coldly, "It seems like you all got the news very quickly. Do you have spies in the palace?"

Upon hearing this, everyone knelt down in unison, "Princess Nine, please calm down. This is absolutely impossible."

"Impossible? But this princess thinks you are well-informed." Bai Jinjin paced back and forth in front, and it seemed that the people below did not dare to look up.

Seeing that the effect she wanted had been achieved, Bai Jinjin returned to her seat.

After she leisurely sat down, she spoke, "Well, this princess hopes that you will know what to say and what not to say. I clearly reminded you last time."

The students then sat back in their original seats, waiting for the teacher to come to class.

Today, Bai Lingling did not go to the Imperial College, but was making sachets. She was making spices to put into the sachets. Yesterday, she tried her best to get the spices that Concubine Ye had always used.

I have been looking for spices that complement and counteract each other so that I can put them into sachets.

Finally, after the preparation was completed, Bai Lingling looked at the two sachets in her hand with satisfaction, and walked towards Shen Yue's bedroom with them.

"Empress." Bai Lingling appeared in front of Shen Yue with a suitable smile on her face.

Shen Yue sneered, "What do you want to see me about?"

"This is the sachet I gave to Bai Jinjin and the Second Prince. I believe the Second Prince will come back to visit Your Majesty in the next few days. Please be prepared, Your Majesty." Bai Lingling said without caring about Shen Yue's attitude at all.

Shen Yue picked up the sachet and asked, "Will the contents here have any effect on Yu'er's body?"

"These contain ordinary spices, don't worry, Your Majesty." Bai Lingling opened the sachet and handed it to Shen Yue to check.

"It's really just an ordinary sachet." Shen Yue picked up the spices inside and smelled them carefully.

Bai Lingling stood aside dignifiedly, "So now it all depends on how the Queen will give this sachet away."

——

These days, whenever Shen Yue has time, she would ask Bai Yu to accompany her, and Bai Yu, out of filial piety, never refused Shen Yue.

After a few days of getting along, the relationship between mother and daughter improved a little.

"Yu'er, try this. It's newly made in the kitchen." Shen Yue said as she put the dish into Bai Yu's bowl.

Bai Yu took the dish and nodded slightly. He took a bite and found it was sweet. "I think Jinjin will like this dish very much."

Upon hearing this, Shen Yue's happy expression faded a little. Although the relationship between mother and daughter had eased, Bai Yu always mentioned Bai Jinjin in front of her from time to time.

"In that case, remember to tell the Ninth Princess when you return to the palace." Shen Yue suppressed her disdain for Bai Jinjin and spoke kindly.

In the past few days, Chen Yue had never shown any malice towards Bai Jinjin in front of Bai Yu, which made Bai Yu feel relieved for a long time. His mother finally stopped targeting Jinjin.

"Okay, I'll tell Jinjin when I get back." Bai Yu responded with a chuckle.

Seeing that the time was almost up, Shen Yue signaled to the maid beside her with her eyes.

The maid came forward with a tray in her hand.

Shen Yue took the sachet and said with a smile: "Yu'er, this is the sachet that your mother made for you. It can relieve the pressure of your studies."

"Thank you, mother. What is this extra one?" Bai Yu looked at the extra sea-blue sachet which looked like a women's one. He was delighted, but still asked with a puzzled look on his face.

No one knows a child better than his mother. Shen Yue saw through the expression on Bai Yu's face at a glance. Her wide cuffs covered her clenched and white fingers, but she still looked at Bai Yu with a smile.

"Give this sachet to the Ninth Princess. One is perfect for you two siblings."

Hearing this, Bai Yu happily put down his chopsticks and said, "Mother, I'm full and will take my leave now."

After saying that, he turned around and ran out, apparently to deliver the sachet to Bai Jinjin.

When Bai Lingling came out of the room, she saw Bai Yu running out with two things in his hands.

He immediately scoffed, his plan actually worked.

"Jinjin!" Bai Yu almost flew over to give Bai Jinjin the sachet.

Bai Jinjin turned her head and looked at him suspiciously while eating lotus root starch and osmanthus sugar cake. She said vaguely, "Second brother? You are so happy. What interesting thing happened?"

"This is for you." Bai Yu happily handed the sachet in his hand to Bai Jinjin.

"What is the function of this sachet?" Bai Jinjin was not worried about where it came from. If it came from the queen, there was no need to worry, because she would not sacrifice her son.

Bai Yu said, "My mother said this is a scented sachet that can relieve anxiety. If I put it next to my bed, I'll sleep well."

Bai Jinjin responded doubtfully, tied the sachet around her waist and spun it around, "Does it look good?"

"It looks very nice." Bai Yu responded to Bai Jinjin with a smile. This sea blue sachet really suits her.

"Brother, do you want to try the sugar cake?" Bai Jinjin picked up a piece with chopsticks and brought it to Bai Yu's mouth. Bai Yu ate it without any hesitation.

Bai Yu swallowed it without chewing it. The syrup blocked his throat and he bent over and started coughing.

Bai Jinjin was so scared that she put down her chopsticks and hurriedly patted his back.
