Chapter 248 Incident

"What's wrong? Isn't praying a good thing?" Bai Jing asked in confusion.

Of course it was a good thing, but the abbot sounded very accomplished and Bai Jinjin was worried that she would be discovered.

After all, her life now is stolen.

"Bai Jinjin!" Bai Lingling's voice sounded outside. The door of Jinhua Palace was opened and Bai Lingling rushed in aggressively.

Bai Jinjin looked at Bai Lingling with amusement, "This is Jinhua Palace, it's my territory."

Seeing the obvious bruises under Bai Lingling's eyes, he couldn't recognize her and sneered, "Did you go out to steal in the middle of the night, or did you do something bad? Why do you look like you haven't slept all night?"

Bai Lingling thought about it for a whole night before she realized that this was Bai Jinjin's doing. How come a haunted thing happened just after she mentioned the ghost thing last night?

"I know it was you who did it last night. Do you want to admit it yourself or do you want me to drag you there?" Bai Lingling said to Bai Jinjin with her eyes red with anger.

The girl raised her hands innocently, "How can you say it was me when you don't even have any evidence?"

"The fabric for that doll is only available in your Jinhua Palace. Ordinary palaces don't dare to use it." Bai Lingling said as if she had caught Bai Jinjin's pigtail.

I didn't expect that I had overlooked this matter. "Then go ahead and see if Dad believes you or me."

Looking at Bai Jinjin who was fearless and even provoked her, Bai Lingling clenched her fists tightly and left the palace with a turn of her eyes.

"Is it so easy to leave?" Bai Jinjin looked at Ye Jiuge in surprise and asked.

Ye Jiuge took a sip of tea and said, "You'd better be careful. I'm afraid Bai Lingling will use the blessing at night to do something."

Bai Jinjin snorted coldly when she heard this, "Grandma Huang wouldn't believe this kind of thing if it happened."

"This time is different. The abbot and monks of Wanfo Temple are truly worshipped by the people. If they are bribed to say that you are a monster, everyone in the world will believe it."

Bai Jing said lightly from the side.

"If the people from Wanfo Temple really accepted the money, they would have truly lost the support of the people." Bai Jinjin responded with a sneer and contempt.

Just as Ye Jiuge had expected, Bai Lingling took the money to the place where the monks of Wanfo Temple rested. Bai Lingling gritted her teeth secretly, but the abbot was adamant and refused to accept the money.

"Your Highness the Sixth Princess, I can help you even if the abbot refuses to help you." A monk dressed similarly to the abbot came out and said with a smile.

Bai Lingling looked at his light-colored cassock and chuckled, "The person known to the world is Abbot Jiekong, not you."

"My Buddhist name is Zhikong, and I will be the next abbot." Zhikong said with a smile.

Bai Lingling also saw the word "ambition" in his eyes and laughed out loud, "I didn't expect this monk to be ambitious."

Then he handed the purse to Zhikong, "The main character is Bai Jinjin..."

The stars are twinkling at night, and the palace is brightly lit. The palace maids and eunuchs would rather not sleep and go to Fengwei Palace to get some blessings.

Ye Jiuge sat next to Bai Jinjin, and Bai Yu was on her right.

"I should be sleeping at this time." Bai Jinjin said this expressionlessly.

Looking at Abbot Zhikong who came in, Bai Jinjin silently wanted Ye Jiuge to get closer.

"What's wrong with you?" Ye Jiuge didn't expect Bai Jinjin to be so afraid of this monk Zhikong. He immediately used his internal force to push the table between them back and pulled Bai Jinjin's chair over.

Bai Jinjin looked at his actions in shock, "Brother Ye, what are you doing?"

"Aren't you scared?" Ye Jiuge hid Bai Jinjin behind him, "Just hide behind me."

Bai Jinjin chuckled when she heard this, "Okay, okay."

Bai Juncheng didn't expect that Ye Jiuge would actually take advantage of his precious daughter.

"Don't look at them anymore. Although Jinjin hasn't announced it, almost everyone in the palace knows about it." Concubine Ye said in Bai Juncheng's ear.

The Queen Mother looked at Abbot Zhikong who came in, her heart filled with respect. This abbot was different from other abbots of Buddhist temples and looked more Buddha-like.

"This poor monk greets the Emperor and the Empress Dowager." Jiekong said with a slight bow.

The Queen Mother quickly waved her hand and said, "Thank you, Abbot. Please drive away the evil spirits in this palace."

"Empress Dowager, I think this place is very clean. It's just that people's hearts are disturbed." Jiekong said calmly.

Upon hearing this, Bai Jinjin came out from behind Ye Jiuge and said, "This abbot is quite capable."

"But I think this is a ghost story." Zhikong suddenly stood up and said.

Because of Jiekong, and because Zhikong's clothes were similar to Jiekong's, the Queen Mother naturally thought that Zhikong's cultivation was about the same as Jiekong's.

"I wonder who this is?" The Queen Mother only knew Jiekong but not Zhikong.

Zhikong's face looked a little grim, but he still replied with a smile: "My Buddhist name is Zhikong."

"Master Zhikong, I wonder what you mean?" the Queen Mother asked worriedly.

"Empress Dowager, this is all caused by one person." Zhikong said to Bai Jinjin.

Concubine Ye's expression suddenly changed. "Master Zhikong, don't you know that the person who spoke nonsense last time was taken to the Heavenly Prison?"

"I can prove this myself." Zhikong said as he picked up the whisk in his hand.

Jiekong told him to walk towards Bai Jinjin and stop him, "Have you forgotten what the old abbot said?"

"Senior brother, you clearly saw it, why did you still stop me?" Zhikong looked at Jiekong in confusion.

After saying that, he pushed away the Jiekong whisk and aimed it at Bai Jinjin.

Bai Jinjin was so scared that she squatted behind Ye Jiuge.

"You say Jinjin is the culprit without any evidence. Are you worthy of your cassock?" Ye Jiuge said as he buried Bai Jinjin in his arms.

Bai Juncheng's expression darkened. "Do you all think that my Ninth Princess was transformed by a demon?"

"Your Majesty, I know you don't believe me now." Zhikong turned his head and looked at Bai Jinjin, "But I will prove it soon."

After saying this, he fanned the whisk, and Bai Jinjin felt a sharp pain in her head.

The girl's face turned pale and she collapsed on Ye Jiuge's body.

Bai Jing hurried forward and stopped Zhi Kong's whisk, "What on earth did you, a deceitful monk, do to Jin Jin?!"

Zhikong was grabbed and the powder on the whisk was scattered.

"There is something on that old man's whisk." Bai Jinjin said in Ye Jiuge's ear with a pale and trembling face.

Upon hearing this, Ye Jiuge stared at the whisk intently, then gently stroked the thing on Bai Jinjin's face and kneaded it carefully. A quick rub caused sparks to appear on it.

"Oh my god, this old bald donkey wants to burn me to death." Bai Jinjin said with eyes wide open.

But why did she have a headache?

"No, there's something wrong with the incense burning in this room." Ye Jiuge said calmly.
