Chapter 16 Han Yuze

"Sister Yinyin, I don't know if you've noticed, but during that time, almost all the trending searches about me were about cyberbullying me. The other members also had some grudges against me because of this. But I really don't have any backers or connections. It was just that before the group's debut night, someone edited a compilation of less than a few minutes of my footage, and it unexpectedly became popular, pushing me to my current position."

"But only I know that I've never felt guilty for pushing others down, because I always believe I deserve higher honors and this position isn't worthy of my efforts... I've been practicing high jump for two months for this meet, and I just want to win through my own hard work, to prove to myself that persistence pays off."

There seemed to be waves in her eyes, causing ripples in the water:

"But now, I feel like I'll never have the confidence to convince myself again...why, no matter how hard I try, I can never get the results I want."

Some people seem to be born for the spotlight. This God-given gift is beyond the reach of others. In their eyes, the bridges built in the name of hard work may not even reach their starting point.

God doesn't seem to know how to use a scale. He gives suffering and hardships to some people, but is stingy with happiness and beauty.

Su Yinyin felt very uncomfortable. She felt sorry for Xia Yunyun's lack of recognition for her talent, but at the same time she felt that being content was the only way to make up for it.

People end up living in poverty all their lives because of their unfulfilled ambitions. Su Yinyin has no right to educate Xia Yunyun about her own views, because she is not the one who has made those efforts but has not had a good ending, and she cannot empathize with them.

I can only try my best to comfort her.

"It's okay. Aren't you great now? You've made your debut and still have a group of fans who support you so much. Isn't this all due to your hard work? If you don't do anything, you'll probably regret it in the end."

"And you're much better off than me. I probably have more haters than fans, but I don't think it's a big deal. At least I'm mentally healthy and haven't given in to their wishes. Besides, I'm living a comfortable life... Yunyun, if you really want to win, then I'll make a deal with you. I'll give 200% of my strength to make that seemingly impossible thing possible, okay?"

Han Yunyun's pupils trembled, and sparkling tears flowed down her eyes, but her eyes were full of surprise and touch.

"Yin Yin..."

There is another event in the morning, the women's 100-meter steeplechase, and the winning team's points will be counted towards the final result.

Su Yinyin participated in this event. In the competition venue, there were padded platform poles of different heights placed next to each other. Two contestants competed on two tracks with the same obstacles. Whoever crossed the obstacles and reached the finish line first would win.
