Chapter 80 Pas de Deux

There was a knock on the door, and Lu Jingxu asked someone to come in. A staff member wearing the work clothes of the Saturday Hi program pushed open the door and stuck his head out from behind it.

When he saw Su Yinyin, he was stunned for a moment.

"What's up?"

Lu Jingxu, who was sitting on the sofa, saw that he was distracted and reminded him.

The staff member finally came to his senses: "Oh, um, teachers, the recording will start soon."

Lu Jingxu nodded, and the staff member immediately closed the door and walked out. Before leaving, he took a curious look inside.

But in the end, he was driven away by Lu Jingxu's frightening gaze.

Su Yinyin received a message from Liu Yue.

[I heard that Lu Jingxu and Zhao Jing are the guests of this episode. Yinyin, do you want to find a reason to turn them down?]

She looked up at Lu Jingxu: "Zhao Jing is here too? Did you know?"

Seeing Lu Jingxu's expression, he naturally knew what was going on. It turned out that she was the only one who was kept in the dark. Zheng Shuang was probably afraid that she would run away.

"Are you here for her?"

Su Yinyin's voice became a little colder.

Lu Jingxu tutted in dissatisfaction and looked at her: "Can you please stop mentioning her so much?"

"You said I was guilty, but I think it's you who is guilty."

Su Yinyin said this, turned around and went back to the dressing room.

The staff found her and brought her to the studio. They had to scout the stage in advance for their performance and memorize the dance moves.

Although it was just a simple duet dance with Zhang Ruoyuan, during the previous practice, Zhang Ruoyuan seemed like a wild man whose limbs had not been fully tamed. His movements were either not in place or looked funny and ridiculous, which dragged out the practice time by two hours.

Although Su Yinyin was very tired, he seemed to have endless energy and even had time to joke with her.

——

When the recording officially started, Lu Jingxu and Zhao Jing appeared backstage together. Their appearance involved a simple interaction, similar to the ballroom dance style of holding hands and spinning in circles.

Gu Jiu stood beside Lu Jingxu and watched his slightly stiff movements. He couldn't help laughing. He didn't know what the joke was, but soon the group started laughing.

She was laughing so happily that Su Yinyin didn't even realize that she had been staring at him for a long time.

Seeing Su Yinyin staring so intently, Zhang Ruoyuan beside her also followed her gaze.

"They seem to have a pretty good relationship. It seems we don't need to work hard to liven up the atmosphere."

Su Yinyin snorted disdainfully: "Indeed, since they are so familiar with each other, why don't we just not go up there and let them chat there."

Zhang Ruoyuan was stunned by her words: From her tone, it seemed that she was in a bad mood.

"ah?"

Su Yinyin then looked away. She had been so absorbed in watching that she almost forgot there was someone next to her. She subconsciously answered the phone as soon as she heard the voice.

"Oh, it's okay. I was just expressing my admiration for how easy it is to be a guest this time. I guess our work will be a lot easier later."

After saying that, she grinned at him.

Zhang Ruoyuan didn't think much of it. Seeing that Su Yinyin finally had time to pay attention to him, he quickly found another topic to continue, "By the way, Yinyin, there's a move I always forget. It's this... What happens after the move? Do you remember?"

He was talking and making gestures at the same time. Su Yinyin remembered the movements and held up his hand and fiddled with it.

"Just like that, you lift my face up and take a look, then take a step to the right like this..."

Su Yinyin's expression and movements were very serious, but the sudden physical contact made Zhang Ruoyuan feel a little unnatural, and his ears turned red.

Su Yinyin was teaching him, but he just stared at her face. As for what they said, he completely forgot because he gradually became absent-minded.

"Got it?"

Zhang Ruoyuan's thoughts were interrupted. He nodded as if he understood, but suddenly he felt a gaze falling on him.

He looked up and found Lu Jingxu not far away looking at him through the crowd, with a knife in his eyes.

However, the next second, he rubbed his eyes and the man's head turned away.

He must have seen it wrong... He didn't pay much attention to it, because it would be his and Su Yinyin's turn to go on stage together soon.

"Ruoyuan, Yinyin, are you two dancing a duet together this time?"

Zhao Jing came over at some point and looked at the two of them with a smile.

The two of them turned around at the same time. When Su Yinyin saw the person coming, her eyes paused for a moment, as if she was not prepared to respond to her question which she knew the answer to.

Seeing that Su Yinyin didn't say anything, Zhang Ruoyuan politely replied, "Yes, we've been rehearsing for a long time. It's all my fault for being so stupid. I keep making mistakes, haha."

Zhao Jing's original gaze towards Su Yinyin was ignored, and she looked a little embarrassed, but she quickly concealed it with a smile.

"Really? But I heard Yinyin hasn't practiced dancing much, so it's already remarkable that she dares to go on stage. If there's any moves you're not familiar with, you can ask me. I was originally planning to dance that dance with Teacher Lu, but he didn't have time."

She saw a slight glint in Su Yinyin's eyes and smiled.

"That's a shame. Teacher Lu and you will definitely dance better than me. I'm not a professional."

"It's definitely a bit difficult to get started if you're not a professional. One or two months is definitely not enough. You've only been practicing for a few days, so this is normal. Don't be too burdened."

After saying that, her gaze lingered on Su Yinyin's face, and her tone was suggestive, wanting to see her reaction.

Unfortunately, she was disappointed. Su Yinyin just turned her head and said to Zhang Ruoyuan, "Let's go, it's our turn to go on stage."

──

As the music started, the lights in the venue dimmed instantly, and the silhouettes of a man and a woman appeared on the stage. They walked out at the moment the drums sounded.
