Chapter 268: Ending Part 3
Nan Xing had just taken off his outer robe when he heard a slight movement behind him. He moved his ears and bent his arms to attack in that direction, but he grabbed his elbow and gently pulled back. He spun around and fell into a warm and hard embrace.
Xia Jinghe drank two more glasses of wine during the banquet, and the wind blew on him, making him a little drunk, with red spots visible on his fair cheeks.
He gently pinched Nanxing's thin and pointed chin, lifted it up, then lowered his head and kissed her rosy and soft lips.
Nan Xing was stunned for a moment, then blinked. Her long and thick eyelashes lightly brushed the skin on his face, and the next moment, he blocked her view with his hand.
Everything was dark before his eyes, and all of Nanxing's senses were instinctively aroused by him, with all his attention shifted to the space between his lips and teeth.
His breath was warm, lingering with the faint aroma of wine. His rough, thin hands quietly reached into her clothes, sparking an electric current wherever he went, eating away at her sanity bit by bit.
She didn't know how much time had passed, but she felt it was becoming increasingly difficult to breathe. Just when she thought she was going to suffocate to death, he finally let her go.
Nan Xing leaned limply in his arms, breathing heavily, her whole face flushed.
Xia Jinghe thought it was cute and funny, and couldn't help but tease him, "Stupid, how come you don't even know how to breathe?"
Nan Xing paused for a moment before glancing at him unhappily. "This is the side hall where women change their clothes. What are you doing barging in? What if someone sees you?"
"What are you afraid of? Is there any place in this palace that I cannot enter?"
"You don't have shame, but I do."
Seeing that she seemed really angry, Xia Jinghe hugged her from behind, leaned against her neck, and said softly, "Don't worry, since I can bring you here, I can definitely ensure that nothing goes wrong."
Nan Xing clicked her tongue and said, "So you sent that maid? I was wondering which palace person was so reckless. If His Royal Highness wants to see me, just send someone to pass a message to me. Why do you have to be so sneaky? You even ruined my new dress."
"It's just a piece of clothing. I'll send you a better and newer one tomorrow."
He tilted his head slightly, and when he exhaled, the warmth spread behind her neck and ears, causing her to shudder.
Nan Xing tried to break free, but he held her tighter instead. Their skin was touching, with only a few layers of thin clothes between them. Her back was pressed perfectly against his front.
She felt embarrassed, but couldn't hide away. She glared at him helplessly, "What are you doing, Your Highness?"
"Don't call me Your Highness the Crown Prince. Just call me Jinghe as you did in the past."
She felt that he was acting strange today, and she was confused. She frowned slightly and said, "Jinghe, what's wrong with you?"
He stretched out his tongue and licked her small, white earlobe. Nan Xing's body stiffened, and she felt as if a warm current was flowing through her body, making her at a loss for a moment.
His voice was low and hoarse, close to my ear: "What did you talk about with that guy named Zeng? Why are you laughing so happily? Hmm?"
Nan Xing was a little slow to react to what he was talking about. Then she remembered that she had talked with Master Zeng in the corridor outside the palace before the banquet, and he had seen it.
She quickly said, "It's just a brief conversation, don't misunderstand me."
"Really? What did you talk about? Tell me."
"That's...that's..." Nanxing was not good at lying. After stuttering for a while, he finally confessed the truth: "He wanted to invite me to go outing together during the Flower Festival."
"Did you agree?"
"no."
He chuckled softly and kissed her jawline as if to reward her. "My dear star, from now on, please refuse all invitations from other men, okay?"
Nan Xing suddenly turned her head away proudly: "Why would you refuse? The Queen Mother said that I am now over the age of marriage, and it is time for me to meet you."
"You dare!" He reached out and turned her face back, biting lightly at the corner of her lips, using some force so as not to break it, but it made her frown in pain.
"You hurt me."
"It's only when it hurts that you learn a lesson." He pretended to be fierce and said, "If you fall in love with another man, I will dig out his eyes and force you to stay by my side."
Nanxing was a soft-hearted person, and was not afraid of his threats at all. He raised his eyebrows and said, "If you dare to do this, I will kill you at all costs."
He suddenly felt aggrieved, frowned and pouted, and said unhappily, "Can you really do that?"
"Why not?"
"You cruel woman!" Xia Jinghe pulled her clothes down, revealing her snow-white shoulder, then lowered his head to kiss her, sucking hard.
Nan Xing only felt a tingling sensation on her shoulders. His hair rubbed against the skin on her neck, bringing up an inexplicable electric current. Her voice softened unconsciously: "What are you doing again?"
After a while, he raised his head, let her go, and said with a smile: "I will leave my exclusive mark on you. In this way, you will be mine."
Nanxing cursed softly, "Childish," and walked away, but when she turned around so no one could see her, she pursed her lips and smiled slightly.
Xia Jinghe found an excuse to slip out and couldn't stay for long. Seeing that she still needed to change her clothes, he tactfully returned to the banquet.
Nanxing waited until he left before taking off her wine-soaked clothes and putting on the clean new clothes brought by the palace maid.
When he returned to the banquet, he saw that Xia Jingtang's seat was empty, so he asked the palace maid beside her, "Where did Princess Changle go?"
The maid said, "The princess felt a little bored during the banquet, so she went out to get some fresh air. Your Highness, don't worry, Xiao Yunzi is with her and will take good care of her."
Nanxing nodded and didn't ask any more questions.
She knew that Tangtang never liked this kind of drinking and chatting occasion.
…
In this room, Xia Jingtang was sitting in a pavilion, leaning on the railing and looking up at the starry sky. A camellia tree next to her was in full bloom. She picked the most beautiful one and pinned it in her hair. She turned around and asked her personal maid Xiao Yunzi, "Does it look good?"
Xiao Yunzi smiled and nodded: "The princess is naturally beautiful, more beautiful than this camellia, it is just the icing on the cake."
Xia Jingtang laughed and said, "I like your little mouth the most. It's like honey. You can even bring the dead back to life."
"What are you saying, Princess? I am just telling the truth."
"I'll trust you for now." She smoothed her hair and suddenly caught a glimpse of a tall figure out of the corner of her eye.
She was stunned for a moment, then looked carefully, and her eyes suddenly brightened.
I saw a man in white standing under a phoenix tree not far away. He was tall and thin, with long black hair. Although only his profile could be vaguely seen, he was still breathtakingly beautiful.
Xia Jingtang was completely attracted by him. Over the years, she seldom met anyone whose appearance could compare to her father's when he was young. Even her brother was inferior to her. But this man had an appearance and temperament like a banished immortal, and he captured her heart in an instant.
