Chapter 25 On How to Fight Scientifically

The conflict between Hao Xin and Huai Ning, Si Rong sending the sword... these are all plots in the original novel. Although they did not happen in the dining hall and are not 100% restored, the similarity still shocked Shen Qingmang.

After the shock came anger.

What a crap plot logic! She'd been a dedicated and exemplary teacher for so long, and she couldn't change the plot's trajectory? She had to understand that she accepted so many outer disciples not just out of love for them, but also for the good of her inner disciples. Hao Xin was too aloof, and Si Rong a bit spoiled; growing up in a group environment would help them break their bad habits. She refused to believe it wouldn't work!

So what if the plot happened? Could she still make them turn the tables with her presence at the scene this time?

Shen Qingmang drew out his jade pen, held it horizontally before him, and murmured, "The kudzu vines are spreading in the valley, their leaves thick and luxuriant."

A green light flashed from the tip of the pen, and several small bumps appeared on the ground. The next moment, countless vines broke out of the ground, swimming like fish and stalking like snakes. The vines locked onto the two people on the battlefield, leaped up, and wrapped the two young men who were jumping up and down like dumplings, making them unable to move.

Both of them wanted to draw their swords and cut the vines, but their arms were tied tightly. Si Rong anxiously tugged at Shen Qingmang's sleeve. "Master, please be gentle! My jade sword is called 'Hooked Moon' and it's very valuable. Don't damage it!"

Shen Qingmang coughed, and Hao Xin angrily said, "Si Rong, are you still human? I'm already tied up, and you're worried about a sword first!"

Si Rong roared back, unwilling to be outdone: "So what? Who told you to fight privately? Besides, Master won't kill you!"

"Who cheered me on for my private fight? You were the one who gave me the weapon!"

Si Rong's round almond-shaped eyes rolled around, and he immediately looked at Shen Qingmang with an innocent smile: "Master, Ah Rong was anxious just now. He was mainly worried that my junior brother would be bullied. I didn't mean to instigate him to fight, really."

Shen Qingmang flicked her forehead. "Do you think I'm as easy to fool as your junior brother?"

"Master Qiongju, please let me go! I wasn't the first one to attack!" Huaining cried.

"I was the one who started it. But he deserved it. Master, if you want to punish me, punish me. I will still do it if something like this happens again next time." Hao Xin had an expression of being unyielding.

Shen Qingmang walked up to Huaining, looked down at him, and wondered how this guy became the second male lead? Was it because he was stupid?

"Has your master given you a lot of guidance recently?"

“Yes…yes…”

"No wonder he was able to tie with Hao Xin."

She remembered that in the original novel, Huaining was beaten badly by Hao Xin, which was why he was so angry that he recruited others to attack him. It seemed that this time, there was a bet, and both the second brother and Huaining were stimulated.

"Didn't the real person teach him too?"

"You're wrong. Our Ah Xin is self-taught." Shen Qingmang curled his lips. "I haven't taught them magic yet. He learned it by reading books in the library."

Huaining widened his eyes in surprise.

"Consider your own abilities before you provoke me next time. It's best not to get caught by me again. Go back to your master and receive punishment." After saying that, Shen Qingmang summoned a gust of wind and delivered the big dumpling directly to the door of the second senior brother's hall.

Then she clapped her hands and turned to look at Hao Xin, who still had a stubborn look on his face.

"Did he call you a 'wild child'?"

Hao Xin's expression collapsed. "Master, how did you know? Were you here just now?"

"No, I guessed it."

After all, that's how they fought in the original novel, and it hasn't changed at all. Shen Qingmang curled his lips and retracted the vines.

Hao Xin climbed up from the ground, his voice a little hoarse. "Master, do you think so too? Those outer disciples have more respectable status than me. Lin Wei is a rich young man, while I am an orphan without parents and lack of discipline. So Master prefers him to me."

"It's my fault." Shen Qingmang said.

The two apprentices were stunned.

"I thought your knot had been untied. I was taking it for granted." Shen Qingmang sighed. How could a few words from her disarming Hao Xin's inherent inferiority complex be eradicated? She still had to proceed step by step.

"Master, you are right. It is because Asin and I always cause trouble that you like the eldest brother more. We will change." Si Rong said cautiously.

Shen Qingmang frowned. Didn't Gu Suihan tell them that he would give the inner sect some extra treatment? Was it because he got home too late last night and didn't have time to tell them today?

She reached out and patted the two children's heads. "I don't dislike you. I've just been too busy lately. I'll make up for it later. Xin, you're not the only orphan; I'm your teacher too."

Hao Xin looked up at her in surprise. Si Rong asked, "Didn't Master be accepted as a disciple by the Sect Master when he was only a teenager?"

"But I wasn't born a teenager," Shen Qingmang smiled. "I was abandoned by my parents, but I'm luckier than Xin. A kindhearted person sent me to the Salesian Church, where kind grandmothers take care of my daily needs."

What she said was actually her own real experience, not Qiongju's. But Shen Qingmang was not worried about being exposed. Firstly, the original novel did not write about Qiongju's childhood life, and secondly, three hundred years had passed, so even if someone wanted to find out, they would not be able to find out.

"Then Master...wasn't you bullied in your childhood?" Hao Xin stared at her without blinking.

"How could there not be? When I was in Tongxue, some classmates treated me well because I was an orphan, but others humiliated me because of it, and they even tried to isolate me."

Si Rong looked nervous. "They are really bad. Master is not hurt, right?"

Shen Qingmang shook his head. "The teachers are all very kind to me. Those who humiliate me are jealous of me because I always get first place in my studies and am favored by my teachers. They have both parents, but in my opinion, they are not as well-educated as those without parents. Why should I bother with them?"
