"Who is it?" Si Rong asked cautiously, "Male or female?"
"Huh?" Hao Xin was stunned. "It's a man, Lee Junhao. How could a woman come to me?"
"Tsk. Let's go." Si Rong opened the door.
Gu Suihan wanted to go home directly, but his classmates insisted on taking him with them. He had never been to KTV before, so he was curious and went with them. He thought that maybe he could talk to Shen Qingmang about his junior going to KTV tomorrow.
Si Rong and Hao Xin naturally went there as well. The two seemed to enjoy life there very much, laughing and joking with their classmates. It was completely impossible to tell that they were outsiders.
"Play me a song called 'Walk Away with Style'!" Si Rong shouted.
"Why does Miss Rong like old songs?" someone teased, "She doesn't act like a young person at all."
"Only old songs have a certain charm." Si Rong said, "I can't stand all the electronic music and rap and other messes these days."
Gu Sui Han and Hao Xin deeply agreed with this.
Gu Suihan originally thought that KTV was an elegant place like the Wuyinfeng Music Appreciation Party, but after sitting there for less than ten minutes, his eardrums were hurt by the vibrations, and every cell in his body was clamoring to escape.
Would Master like this kind of occasion? If he were to talk to her about KTV, how would he comment on it?
Why not try asking her now?
He picked up his phone and was halfway through typing a sentence when he was suddenly poked in the elbow by the classmate next to him.
"Squad leader, stop playing with your phone and sing a song."
"Yes, yes, squad leader, come one!"
He pressed his phone onto the leather sofa and tried to refuse: "Forget it, I can't sing."
"Who said that? The class monitor is the singing king!"
"Si Rong, don't think that I can't recognize it's you just because you hide behind someone else and call me." Gu Sui Han glared at him.
"Hey, squad leader, since you're here, why don't you sing a song? Let Xin sing with you. It's better to embarrass two people than one, right?"
"Who said my singing was embarrassing?" Hao Xin said unconvincedly, "You can choose whatever you want. There's no song I can't sing!"
"How about 'Majestic'?"
"Ahem, that's too much, isn't it? I think we should just sing 'Itch'."
"Gu Suihan, why don't you pick one?" asked the classmate sitting next to the song request booth.
Gu Suihan sat back again. "I really don't want to sing. If Hao Xin wants to sing, let him do it."
"Then let's go with 'Majestic'. It sounds like it suits me," said Hao Xin.
The classmates burst into laughter, but the naive Hao Xin had no idea what he was about to face.
Until the prelude sounded, half of the people in the private room were grinning, and half of them had blushing cheeks. Hao Xin and Si Rong were in the latter half.
Gu Suihan was stunned. The phone he had just picked up rolled to the ground, revealing a bright screen.
There was a phone symbol on the screen, and a line of small text: Voice call in progress.
He swallowed, picked up the phone with trembling hands, rubbed his eyes, and carefully identified who he was talking to.
The three words "Shen Qingmang" now looked like a death spell.
It's over. Gu Suihan's face turned pale, and he pressed the hang-up button several times before reaching it.
Maybe when his classmate touched him just now, he accidentally pressed the call button, and the noise was so loud that he didn't notice the call was connected.
What should he do now? Which should he explain first: the misleading music or the revealing vest?
"Sorry, excuse me." He held the phone tightly, walked around his classmates, staggered out of the private room, and ran all the way to the outside of the KTV before he mustered up the courage to look at his phone.
"The nightlife is quite rich, little brother."
He breathed a sigh of relief. Perhaps because the noise was too loud just now, Shen Qingmang didn't hear his classmates calling his name. In that case, his vest was still there...
Then he saw the next sentence she sent: "But your campus life is more fulfilling, right? I didn't even know when the class monitor went to college without telling me, and even studied all the way to junior year."
"I'm in danger..." Gu Sui Han slowly squatted down and hugged his head.
He didn't dare to look at his phone now, let alone reply to Shen Qingmang's message. He silently wondered if he could make this illusion happen again. However, nothing around him changed at all. The summer evening breeze made him more sober.
The message alert sounded again. He took a few deep breaths and opened his phone.
"You were at the KTV? How many people were there? Were you drinking again? Did you tell your parents?"
Should I say he's worthy of being called a master? He calmed down so quickly and started caring about his students.
He responded one by one:
Um.
Eighteen or nineteen.
They ordered milk beer, which was not very strong.
I've told my parents, and it's convenient to get a taxi here.
Shen Qingmang: Don't sing too late, and be home before 10 o'clock. If a girl doesn't have a parent to pick her up, don't let her take a taxi alone. It's best to have a boy with her.
Shen Qingmang: Forget it, send me the location, otherwise I won’t be at ease
Gu Suihan obediently sent her a location and then squatted on the shoulder of the road waiting.
Twenty minutes later, a taxi stopped in front of him. A woman in a white windbreaker got out of the car. Seeing him, she asked in surprise, "Captain, why are you here?"
He looked up at her. "...I'm waiting for you."
"What are you waiting for me for? Just go play with them. You old classmates won't have many chances to get together again in the future, so cherish it."
"No, no. I can't really adapt to the KTV environment. The main reason I came this time was because I was worried about them."
"Are they still singing?"
"Um."
"Okay, I don't want to go in and disturb them. It might scare them. The song you chose is quite unrestrained."
