Seeing his sudden silence, Rong Qingqing glanced at him suspiciously. Noticing a suspicious blush on his handsome face, she was about to ask when he said, "Go wash up quickly and then come out for dinner." With that, he hurriedly left.
Upon hearing this, Rong Qingqing disregarded her doubts, dressed herself, and went to the washroom to clean up.
Just then, Xiao Tao brought in a bowl of soup from outside.

Xiao Tao forced a smile and said, "It's the beauty soup that Her Majesty drinks every day."
Xie Jingrun was somewhat surprised that Rong Qingqing drank a beauty-enhancing soup every day.
Why haven't I heard her mention this before?
Her smooth, delicate skin, like solidified cream, unexpectedly flashed through his mind. He pursed his lips and said nothing more.
Seeing this, Xiao Tao secretly breathed a sigh of relief and prepared to leave with the bowl in her hand.
Xie Jingrun frowned. "Wasn't it for the Empress to drink?"
Xiao Tao smiled and said, "This servant will take it in to Your Highness right away." With that, she carried the bowl inside.
Rong Qingqing happened to come out from inside at that moment and was stunned when she saw the bowl she was holding.
Xiao Tao kept trying to wink at her.
Rong Qingqing thought of something, glanced quickly at Xie Jingrun, and suddenly felt a little guilty.

Rong Qingqing bit her lip. "Then you have to promise me you won't get angry."

Rong Qingqing was taken aback. Was this guy so angry because he thought she was feeling unwell but hadn't told him?
Thinking of this, she felt even more guilty.
After thinking about it, she decided to tell the whole story.
"I'm not feeling unwell. That soup... it was actually a contraceptive soup." After saying that, she lowered her head, feeling guilty and not daring to look at Xie Jingrun's reaction.
