Fu Rongchen's eyes darkened.
Shangguan Yanran felt her fingers burning hot. The touch made her flustered, and she subconsciously rubbed them on her dress, afraid that he would misunderstand. She quickly changed the subject, "Are the orchid beans delicious?"
"It's delicious," Fu Rongchen said, looking at her.
Shangguan Yanran felt that he emphasized the word "delicious" when he said it. She pursed her lips and glanced at him, but when she met his gaze, for some reason, her heart started beating very fast.
"Are you still going to eat?" She pushed the paper bag containing orchid beans in front of him.
Fu Rongchen shook his head. "You eat it yourself." He didn't really like these kinds of snacks.
"Alright." Shangguan Yanran didn't insist. She dragged the paper package back and started eating while opening the picture book she hadn't finished reading.
Fu Rongchen's gaze fell on the picture book, and he was somewhat surprised to see that it was full of paintings of mountains, rivers, lakes and seas, yet she was looking at them with great interest.
I didn't expect that she would like to look at paintings like this.
He pursed his lips; he could actually draw it better than this.
Shangguan Yanran was so engrossed in looking at the picture book that she completely forgot about the time. By the time she remembered, it was already dark outside the window.
She was startled and turned to look at Fu Rongchen beside her.
"Fu Rongchen..." The voice abruptly stopped.
Fu Rongchen was seen resting his forehead on one hand, already asleep.
She paused for a moment.
Why didn't he call her just now?
He looks very tired. Is it because he was exhausted from handling official business during the day?
She lay on the table, quietly observing him.
When Fu Rongchen fell asleep, he really looked like a refined scholar. However, his overly long and thick eyelashes made him look too handsome and not at all dangerous. In fact, it made people feel a little like they wanted to ravage him.
She admired him for a while, then suddenly swallowed, lust rising within her. She leaned over and kissed the corner of his lips.
Seeing that he didn't react and was clearly sleeping soundly, she felt a little secretly pleased.

Fu Rongchen was startled and opened his eyes to see her sitting on the ground with a pained expression.
He was taken aback. "Why are you sitting on the ground?"
Shangguan Yanran said with a mournful face, "Of course I fell..."
"Why did you fall to the ground out of nowhere?" Fu Rongchen looked at her in confusion and reached out to help her up.
"It hurts, it hurts so much, be gentle..." Shangguan Yanran's face changed color from the pain.
Fu Rongchen was startled and leaned over to pick her up in his arms. "Let's go see a doctor."
"No, no, I don't want to see a doctor..." Shangguan Yanran was shocked. The place where she fell and hurt was her buttock. How could she see a doctor?
Fu Rongchen ignored her, gathered up the things she had placed on the table, gave them to her to carry, then picked her up and strode out of the private room.
After leaving the teahouse, Fu Rongchen carried her toward the nearby clinic.
Seeing this, Shangguan Yanran became furious. "Fu Rongchen, I don't want to see a doctor, do you hear me?"
"It's not up to you!" Fu Rongchen's face tightened, and his tone became slightly somber.
Shangguan Yanran was in pain and anxious, tears welling up in her eyes.
“If you don’t listen to me, then we don’t have to get engaged…” she said, looking aggrieved.
Fu Rongchen paused, looked down at her, and said seriously, "I can listen to you about anything else, but not about this. You've fallen and injured yourself, you absolutely have to see a doctor."
