Chapter Forty-Eight: How dare you treat her so badly?

Upon hearing this, Madam Rong was so angry that her vision blurred, but she forced herself not to collapse.

"You beast!" she gritted her teeth in anger.

Sure enough, once she fell ill, they didn't treat Qingqing well. It was pitiful that her granddaughter became a widow at such a young age and was almost dragged down to be buried with her.

This is her granddaughter, whom she has doted on since she was a child.

She wouldn't even hit or scold her, how dare they treat her so badly?

She's so angry!

"Grandmother, please calm down. Don't get upset and harm your health," Rong Qingqing said anxiously.

Old Madam Rong held her hand tightly, "My poor Qingqing, it's all my fault for being so weak, otherwise..."

Rong Qingqing's eyes flickered. "Grandmother, you're not really sick. I brought a doctor with me today to examine you. The doctor said you've been poisoned by a chronic poison called 'Draining Swamp'..."

Before she could finish speaking, footsteps sounded outside, and an old woman cried out in anguish, "Madam, you must do us justice! The young lady suddenly returned and beat us without warning, and even had us tied up..."

Immediately afterwards, a slightly shrill female voice rang out, "Get these madmen of unknown origin out of here!"

Hearing this, Old Madam Rong sneered, "This vixen, does she really think I'm dead? She dares to act so arrogantly in my courtyard." As she spoke, she patted her granddaughter's hand and comforted her, "Qingqing, don't be afraid. With your grandmother backing you up, let's see who dares to bully you!"

Rong Qingqing felt a warmth in her heart; the old lady truly loved and cared for her from the bottom of her heart.

Even though no one in the Rong family took her seriously, the old lady stood by her side unconditionally.

Thinking of this, she took a deep breath, grasped Madam Rong's hand, and said softly but firmly, "Grandmother, I've already faced death once, so I'm not afraid of anything now. You've just woken up, so please rest for a while and let me go and meet with that Chen. At most, if I can't beat her, you can help me out."

After hearing her words, Madam Rong was quite shaken and said with great satisfaction, "My Qingqing, you've really grown up..."

After the old man finished speaking, his eyes suddenly reddened; he was genuinely gratified.

She knew her granddaughter's character perfectly well, having raised her herself.

It's also her fault. She spoiled this girl too much, always protecting her under her wing and standing up for her in everything. This caused her to develop a timid and indecisive personality, like a flower in a greenhouse, unable to withstand the storms of life.

Once she falls, she will be at the mercy of others and bullied.

Now, her granddaughter seems to have grown up overnight, and she feels comforted, her eyes welling up with tears.

"Grandmother, please rest for a while." Rong Qingqing patted the old woman's hand before getting up and leaving.

The courtyard was now in complete chaos.

The eight servants she brought were currently confronting the Rong family's servants, their tensions palpable, and they were about to come to blows.

The old women who had been tied up were now untied and were exaggerating their complaints to Chen.

Upon seeing Rong Qingqing emerge, the old women, who had been dejected when they were tied up, suddenly became arrogant.

"Young Miss, you had us kidnapped without any reason. Shouldn't you give us an explanation?"

As the old woman finished speaking, Madam Chen turned around and looked at Rong Qingqing.
