Upon hearing this, Fu Rongchen frowned slightly. "Tell her not to stare at the book for so long, or she'll hurt her eyes." After saying that, he realized that the maid's words were useless and that Shangguan Yanran wouldn't listen. So he put down the official letter in his hand and got up to go to the backyard.
Shangguan Yanran lay on the bed, flipping through a book.
She couldn't go anywhere, so she had to stay in the house all day.

She had almost finished reading the storybooks and picture books she had bought the day before yesterday, and only a little bit was left to read.
