Just then, Rong Qingqing appeared at the door carrying a food basket.
Upon seeing this, the two felt as if they had been granted a pardon and hurriedly retreated.
Rong Qingqing stood by the door and saw the two of them disappear without a trace as if they were being chased by evil spirits. She was immediately discouraged.
Even when Xie Jingrun was angry, she was also a coward, not to mention she felt guilty.

Rong Qingqing hadn't eaten breakfast yet, but the aroma made her feel quite hungry.
She glanced back at the man still sitting there reviewing papers, her eyes darting around before she sat down at the table.
"I'm really hungry. Since you're not hungry, I'll eat first." She said this, and without any hesitation, picked up her chopsticks and started eating.
Xie Jingrun initially ignored it, but as the noise from the meal grew louder, he became restless. This woman was clearly doing it on purpose.
Looking up, he saw Rong Qingqing sitting there eating, enjoying her meal immensely, and his face darkened slightly.
This woman didn't even wait for him before starting to eat; she showed absolutely no sincerity.
Rong Qingqing was really hungry. After finishing a bowl of rice, she couldn't help but glance at the untouched bowl of rice across from her. After a pause, adhering to the principle of not wasting food, she reached out to take the bowl of rice to herself.

Meeting Xie Jingrun's gloomy gaze, she awkwardly withdrew her hand.
